They will never look back at the trade and regret making it because they've already won two SB's since then and been to three. Most quarterbacks are lucky to get to just one, let alone win one. Don't you think after Marino got to one instantly, everyone thought he'd be in one every other year? Same goes for a ton of other quarterbacks. Cam Newton, Boomer Esiason. Enough. It was a silly thought.
Not to mention what the Pats turned the 49ers pick into: LB Christian Sam, sixth round, 2018 RB Damien Harris, third round, 2019 CB Duke Dawson, second round, 2018 CB Joejuan Williams, second round, 2019 OT Yodny Cajuste, third round, 2019 QB Jarrett Stidham, fourth round, 2019 and they still have a 4th round pick in this upcoming draft from the trades they made off that pick.
