Rebuilding the line can also take more than a single season. It could take two seasons. It's not possible for any team in the NFL to totally fix every single one of their positional problems. It's simply not feasible.

I can see this pick - The people crying about too many Picks / money already spent on defense are WAY off base.

It doesn't matter what Boobway did in past and where people were picked.

You look at the talent here Now and you make your decision.. PERIOD - Who cares is Robertson took 8 1st round picks to nab - If he doesn't fit what you want to do on defense than send him packing - As a matter of fact I'd look to trade him now while we're unloading guys.

IF a DT allows the Defense to be a ton more flexible and allows them to run the defense they want to run then FINE - Same thing for Mario Edwards who is a true DE and can play 3-4 instead of Abraham....

I can see Super Mario or Nagti whatever -.....

What i REALLY can see is 8 real good prospects and the Jets moving down to the 8 spot or a little further and getting whover falls at that plus more....

If you drop to 8 you could be happy with

    Any of the 3 QB's
    Bush
    Ferguson
    Nagati
    Hawk
    Williams

THAT is the beauty of TRADING DOWN - You pick the amount of guys you like and you're happy with the best talent that falls....

Complete opposite of BOOBWAY - Who moves UP for guy and then makes it so the guy has to be the second coming of Superman to make it worth it.... While aloso cutting off the chances of finding More talent with the later picks...

The more you think about it the more Boobway was in over his head - and it amazes me that peopel stil think he was OK -The guy wanted to work Part Freaking Time and Nyjunc will go to his grave defending the guy...Amazing... where were we again??? Ahhh Yes Nagata... We have time but, at this point I won't crush this pick as I would trading UP for Bush - That's just Dumb and Boobway like.

hindsite is 20/20, and we should have gotten ngata. d-brick is not going to be the j. ogden we were hoping to get. maybe this years draft will finally yield something worth having, long term.

Brick was never touted as the next Ogden. He is simply not that large. He was, and perhaps still is, the best LT of his draft class. McNeil of San Deigo has taken a huge step backwards this year. If not for Brick our already disgusting O-line is a ton worse.

Would I like to have Ngata? Sure, but filling one hole creates another.

    THIS guy is Genius......

SERIOUSLY... The draft "used to be a crapshoot"... and people still run around and think that..

But, if you watch a handful of college games, the bowl games and kinda follow what's going on and then watch and read the incredible amonut of information on the internet.. stuff written by scouts and insiders everywhere...

it's my contention that the draft isn't anywhere near a crapshoot it used to be...

these guy's are human so, things happen but..... We have info on every little division III guy who plays these days.....

hindsight is 20/20 and sometimes it takes players more time to reach their full potential, i do not belive dbrick has reached his. Ngata would have been an excellent pick, however i think we need to give dbrick more time to make a conclusive evalution of the pick

One thing though... I think if you go somehwere and install a system where there's a VERY key piece that you NEED...

You better be hellbent on finding THAT guy.

Mangini's career may be heavily dependent on finding that guy....

that is an excellent point, kind of reminds me how bellicheck wasn't a "mastermind" until the football gods blessed him with the buttchin from michigan, and the injury to bledsoe

Everybody keeps saying that if Bledsoe had not gotten injured, Brady would have never been the starting QB. Well, Bledsoe started in Dallas and was benched. Probably the same thing would have happened in NE.

Many people wanted us to pick Leinart, Fergurson at 4 was the right pick and right now he is a good LT, give him time and he can become great.

Mario Williams for a year and a half was doing much and now look at his last 5 games.. Young had a good rookie season, but has taken a step back. So has Bush who looked like a can't miss prospect.

We are all excellent with hindsight , we have nothing to lose but other peoples memories.
Just for the record , in that draft I wanted Mike Hass and a certain Hofstra player called Colston
