I can't speak for anybody else, but my aggravation with the pick isn't the quality of the pick so much as the recurring, recent, theme of drafting guys to either directly replace players or make up for busts. If the guy can play he can play, but with the way things have been with the Jets we'll be drafting the replacement for one these guys in the top early rounds of the 2019 draft.

So we've tried to load up on free agent/big money into secondary players combined with continuing to draft them. Pryor, Kyle Wilson, Juston Burris, Justin Miller, Kerry Rhodes, Dee Milliner, etc. over the years.

We went out and crippled our cap with Cromartie & Revis, and then did it again with Revis/Cromartie/Gilchrist/Skrine.

So what's the next phase? Use our #1 overall pick to pass up on Darnold for a safety?

WTF? If you trade down, shouldn't we at least try to get the value for the move? Jeeze.

Yeah no shit. They weren't getting one regardless, yet I still hate the thinking of their pick. They lost stone hands loud mouth, who knows what deck will be, Anderson is a paperweight. Quincy I think is a mirage. Powell maybe on the run game, but also maybe not. Forte is toast. No interest in te apparently.

For me the only improvement they've made so far for the offense is letting geno walk.

They're the experts and made the pick regardless of my existence, I just hate that it implies they're set at the position maybe to them. That's far from true as of yet

Hope the Jets take Cordrea Tankersley. Not only because he's a very good prospect, but because the meltdown here will be epic. But mostly because he'll be a solid starter for the Jets.

The two safeties are damn good picks and addresses our biggest need.

The secondary was so horrible we had a game with 7 sacks but only gave up 5 incompletions. Think about how fucking crazy that is.

With the retirement of D'brickashaw Ferguson the Jets really need somebody with a ridiculously random name.

And I'd agree but they didn't get any better all year. To me that's an indictment of the coaches

This is why I don't understand the absurd negativity from the members of this site. Jets are a bad, bad team. We have holes all over the roster. I'm good with all 3 picks thus far. Would have loved Lamp in 2nd and TE in 3rd but what difference does it make when they are filling other holes?

The Cowboys already stole Taco Charlton from right under their noses.
