This has nothing to do with Fields. As Nina Hines said in the video because Wilson was a foregone conclusion to the Jets, they, the media, did not scrutinize him in the same fashion as the other QB prospects. Lawrence got the same treatment. Now they are retro actively doing their job.
We also realize that by the nature of their setups at camp at this point, Trey Lance and Justin Fields are running against the 2s….right?

I've said it multiple times Jets did Zach no favors with this QB room. Even the bears bringing in Dalton before the draft makes more sense than what we're doing. I never felt trial by fire was the way to go with this kid. Should've given him time to learn and adjust to the NFL as a back up before the media sunk their teeth in. What that said, way too soon to be truly concerned. I will say this: if he crashes and burns I hope they're competent enough to pull a Cardinals and go right back to the well next year. We have the draft capital to get a QB (IF NEEDED TOTALLY HYPOTHETICAL NOT SAYING HE'S A BUST STILL HOPING AND BELIEVING).

The media, is the media. However we are all fans. Other than injuries, I really don’t watch to closely until the exhibition games begin.
Fans eating up all this hate by the media is the reason they are going to keep doing it. People need to relax, holy hell.
Once again, I’ve been burned too much in the past setting my heart on the hype of these young QBs and being absolutely destroyed. Not doing that now. Waiting to see any success, and then and only then Zach will be the guy. However, trashing the guy before he ever takes a snap due to “camp stats” is seriously laughable. People are actually doing that?
