He didn't have a great game by any measure but it was his first, he is smart and will learn plently in the coming weeks.
Saw the Rookie get pushed around a few times but after seeing the post-game speech in the locker room its clear that the rook needs to hit the weights to become a full beast in this league. Get some muscle on that frame.
Leonard just said he needs to work on his conditioning, he wasn't used to that type of play. So he does acknowledge where he needs to improve on today
He looked good...you can see he's quite athletic...can stuff the run...needs work on pass rushing abilities right now. Dude is active and relentless which is good to see...
He's an instant starter, which for a first round pick is really all you can ask for. He just turned 21 for crying out loud, give him some time.
Give him a full, offseason and he will for sureput some muscel on that frame. He's still a kid. Wait till he's 26-28
Looked pretty good to me. Still don't know what the plan is for him, Sheldon, Mo, Coples, and Snacks in a 3-4. #6 pick in the draft shouldn't be a rotating player especially not with his talent.
He won't be rotating by next year........the kid has the stuff. One of Sheldon and Mo won't be around - probably a trade - not sure what the plan is with Coples.
Or maybe Sheldon, Mo and Leonard stay and they let Coples go. I'm not even sure Demario Davis is a lock to stay.
Seems like he got hit with a little NFL reality and accepted the challenge! Let's not kid ourselves either, Browns have a solid O-Line.
Agreed on all counts. I like that he's checking his ego at the door, acknowledging what he needs to improve on and is ready to work on it.
And have them play where? I guess we will get a glimpse of that when Richardson is back after the bye (hopefully).
So it's very clear to me that Williams is playing a bit tentatively and gets winded faster than the vets. I think he's realizing that this is a man's game now and will adjust, but he looks like he's being very cautious, not going all out for fear of making a mistake. I don't think he looks lost or anything, just a bit unsure of how to apply himself at this point. There were a couple of plays where you saw him just swallow a play up, so it's obvious the talent and ability is there. It feels like he hasn't unleashed it fully yet, though - like he's holding back something. Also, even though there's no Sheldon they seem to be rotating him out frequently anyway - especially in the second half.
He will be fine. He admitted last week that he was winded and that is something he needs to work on. The kid is also only just 21. I can't wait till he has a few off-seasons to chisel that body.
He pushes the pocket extremely well even if he's not getting pressure off the edge or with an ace pass rush move. He'll pick that stuff up. This front 4 is going t crush pockets when Richardson is back. Not many quarterbacks are going to avoid sacks like Luck did tonight. Roethlisberger, Cam Newton maybe.
was impressed with him staying home on the luck play action bootleg. didnt sack him but forced an early throw
