Dude they still could be learning the system, just not on the field. All im saying is that it is a minimal advantage that does not warrant a major punishment. cheating is a part of every game, remember stickum. He was not punished for this and he was let off easy for spy gate. Maybe they could be learning the system in the books, but not on the field giving rest to others, but you are missing the biggest crime of this whole thing. beliscum was able to retain players that would other wise be put on waivers by cheating the system and putting players on IR. The fact that these players were not injured and practicing against the rules makes it even worse, but you go right ahead and play Goodell because we all know he will bend over for them again too.

I don't want to waste my time looking for a link. I know at least 2 or 3 Patsy trolls have said something like it...and we all know Patriot fans are all the same. ...and if you don't think that way, it means you believe the Patriots gained a big time advantage with their signal stealing and they wouldn't have defeated the Steelers twice in the playoffs to make it to the Super Bowl.

Do I think they cheated? Of course, that is fact .. I don't think I have disputed that .. As far as having that being the cause for them winning multiple superbowls .. I have no idea .. I can't answer that because I do not have the facts .. I am not a player / coach, and any answer would be pure SPECULATION ..
That's how a rational Patriots* fan should think. As a rational Pats*-hating fan, I will make my assumptions that Bellichick* will stop at nothing to win, and the cheating was a major factor in their playoff run. It's certainly possible, no one knows the extent to which the cheating helped. As for the IR thing, it's just more proof that Bellichick* has no respect for NFL rules, and he wants to win at all costs, even if it cheapens the games. I can understand Patriots* fans liking having a coach like that, I mean, you can't doubt that his methods have worked, and for many, including Bellichick*, that's all that matters. This is something I wouldn't be surprised if other teams did as well, but if other players think this is even more serious, and it is not a common practice, I'll defer to them, since they would know more.

It's obvious he was gaining an unfair advantage, he even said in his interview that video taping made deciphering the signals easier than trying to steel them from the press box.
