*ive been team Becton On the right, for a minute. Fant and LT is less sick but I’d go with interesting. old heads on the left, youngins on the right.
It's called loyalty to a homegrown I guess. We'd love to sign you LT but we want you at RG if you fancy it? A simple scenario in the interview or don't sign a FA LG when you didn't need one tbh. Just a bit odd to me, you traded up to get the guy you thought was locking down LG for the next 10 years, 1 year on you are shunting him to RG.
If you look at my mock, I signed Daniels who can play every position including C. JD is obviously not as qualified as me but I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and I assume he’s had conversations irl that I’ve only had in my head.
I meant conversations with the staff, AVT and LT. I sure hope he had those conversations. If he didn’t, I’m ready to make my move…. Who can I count on for a personal reference? All my good takes were spot on. All my bad takes, I was jk.
That's what they should do! Vera-Tucker was a high pick for a reason, he should be the one blocking DLmen 1-on-1 as the right guard
I guess this makes sense in theory - put our two best OL, Fant and Tomlinson, on Wilson's blind side.
I like that idea. Becton/Tomlinson/McGovern/Vera-Tucker/Fant By the way, upgrading from Van Roten to Vera-Tucker is the biggest upgrade in Jets history!
now it seems that all the assumptions were wrong, that AVT is making the move... https://nypost.com/2022/03/28/jets-new-offensive-line-will-look-differently-than-expected/
Interesting development. What I figure is that Saleh wants the best pass blocking he can get from the blind side. LT and AVT had similar run blocking success last year according to PFF (75.3 to 72.5), but LT was a better pass blocker (69.2 to 56.9). Or maybe it's just that you can't teach an old dog new tricks!
