Oh they loved it! My daughter needed to hold my hand a couple of times, but no problem. Baloo is fav character, naturally. I personally always favored Kaa
Saw it today with my Granddaughter. It was good, but the story line made it a lot darker than the cartoon of years gone by. Not sure why they turned King Louie into King Kong but oh well, poetic license I suppose. Shere Khan stole the movie although Baloo and Bahgeera were their lovable selves. Excellent CGI too. After this, I'm kinda hoping they stop with the remakes and go back to doing original stuff again. I'll burn a copy of the original Disney Jungle Book for the kid so she can see the difference. Perhaps this version was far closer to the book than Disney's and that explains all the departures. Oh well, on to Independence Day II...
Btw, meant to ask you guys... I didn't see the old cartoon version. Bahgeera - was a male there as well? Because in the Russian version, it's a female, and I think so is in the Kiplin's book.
Yep... I don't remember wolves in the old cartoon version either.. EDIT: Just rewatched the original and yes, the wolves were there..
Just watched the old cartoon version and honestly, I liked it better. Much lighter but the new writers did stay true to the story for the most part except the ending..
