of course its a joke, he is poking holes in all you knuckleheads who had us going to the super bowl last week (i had hopes and still do) to missing the playoffs, we played an off game in bad weather situation. Field position and turnover battle win that game yesterday period. we lost both those.
Guys - It's not the personnel. I think it's the coaching. Where was the pass rush (for that matter where was the defense)? Use Keller more. WE LAIED A BIG EGG YESTERDAY. The loss brings up another issue. Why do we have Favre as our QB? So we have a winning record this year (big deal). Favre has maybe one more year with the Jets. I don't beleive he will bring us to the SUPER BOWL!!!!!!! After that we are back to ground ZERO at the QB position. Where is the heir apparent at QB (arguably the most important position on a football team)?
This is it exactly. The team needs another cornerback (although I haven't given up on Lowery) and clearly needs another safety. And Gholston has to prove he's not a bust. On a side note, and I hate to keep pointing this out, but the Jets are now the third worst team against the pass. You're going to have some bad games when you can't stop the pass.
I like Lowery I think he is going to be a good one but he lacks elite speed. I think he will be able to cover most 2's in this league but he is still a big drop from Revis.
If I'm not mistaken, the Jets are 8 - 4. Better season than most have predicted to this point in time. It's been fun up until 4:00pm yesterday. The Jets lost 1 game. You learn from it, prepare for the 49ers and move on. Take a day or two to wallow in it. Those of you who were purchasing Super Bowl tickets might have to wait a few weeks. There is still alot of football to play. I for 1 thought we would lose 1 along the way. I didn't know when or where. We have 4 games to go and if we can win a few along the way, we might make the playoffs. Hopefully this loss teaches the staff a lesson and we use it to help us along the way. It should smack them in the face like a wrecking ball so I believe they got the point. I don't know how some feel today, but I am going to move foward. After what I saw yesterday, I sure as hell am not looking back. Let's try and win out and get into the playoffs. That is the ultimate goal after all isn't it?
The Jets don't suck. This is the problem with their fan base. They win and they're going to the Super Bowl, the lose and they suck. :smile:
