What makes you sure that McCareins will be traded and Tennessee is willing to give us their 4 round pick?

We're trying to build the team , not rip the heart out of it. Madness to trade up. I actually agree with Don and trade down with Atlanta. There will be plenty of quality in the 2/3 rounds.

:)offtopic:) German Jets Fan , are you getting to any of the NFLE games? We seem to have a complete blank out of NFLE coverage over here. Strange when you consider that the NFL is trying to promote the game in the UK and are putting a regular game on in London. It would have made a better game in Deutchland

Jarrett's combine was a rude awakening for a lot of people alot like Derrick Strait's a few years ago. You just can't run a 4.65 40 and preserve a high first round designation as a wide receiver regardless of your size.

USC has now produced 3 huge slow receivers in the last 11 years: Keyshawn Johnson (would never be a top 10 pick today let alone the #1), Mike Williams and Dwayne Jarrett. Jarrett is going to wind up paying for the results that Keyshawn and Williams put up after being taken high in the first round. My guess is he drops to the last half dozen picks of the first or the first half dozen picks of the second.

That would be good but I just don't know how willing Miami would be to trade for it within the division. If they took somebody at 25 that didn't pan out and we got somebody at 40 that did it might cost somebody their job if done within the division.
You're right about the worth of those picks so I'm not sure it's doable unless it was next year's 3rd.

Had Moss not been there, it would have been a slam dunk for Jarrett. Even though he doesn't time well, to think that people would slot him in the second round is rather ridiculous. A Big wideout that can run well in a straight line is pointless without the skills that Jarrett excels in. The only player in this draft with better body control than Jarrett is Calvin Johnson, and there is no other WR more dangerous in the red zone than Jarrett, and I would say the same for every WR class back to Larry Fitzgerald. So he might not be a gamebreaking #1, but put him in a situation where he's either got a solid group of WRs with him, and you have a stud. Jarrett on the Jets would be such a perfect fit it's comical.
