What if they're confident he is the guy? You seem to assume that everyone thinks Tannehill sucks. If Miami takes someone else at 8, they all but lose their shot at Tannehill, unless they're willing to tap into next year's resources.

If they go into next year with Moore and Garrard with Brock Osweiler as their developmental QB, it won't look good for them.

The Fins have a fair number of holes to fill at this point. They really need the best value out of that 8 pick. It's a new coach in his first year and I'm pretty sure they'd take Tannehill if they were 10 picks lower but they're on the 8 pick.

So they take the BPA on 8, who is likely to be Ingram, and then they look for ways to get Tannehill more cheaply if they really think he's the guy for them.

Teams that reach for QB's that high in the draft really suffer the consequences. If Tannehill was a consensus top half of the 1st round guy before the combine then this all looks different. He was a consensus top half of the 2nd round guy at that point.

Nothing has changed since then except that the Fins and Browns need for a QB has caused people to speculate for months now that Tannehill might get taken up higher than he should be.

Not surprisingly some of the analysts have followed the chatter up the round because that's what herds of media people do. They all play off of each other and the next thing you know people totally forget that Dewayne Ryan Tannehill Robertson is actually a late 1st rounder/early 2nd rounder because some talking heads have made that leap based solely on other talking heads making that leap.

You keep saying he is not worh a top 10 pick. That he should go so odd number of picks later. You ignore the facts that even non super star QBs have been going higher and higher in the draft. Every current mock on NFL.com has him to the phins at 8. I've listed 3 others sites that have him as a top 10 player.

Where are you getting this notion that he is not worthy of the phins pick? Break down his skills to show why your right and everyone else is wrong if your capable. I have not heard a single person say he is not worth it in over a month. Yuor not a guy that spends a lot of time in the draft forum except to show up a few weeks before the draft and spout off that everyone in the world is wrong but you. Explain your stance on him to us please.
