He has an incompetent GM. I don't care what he does in KC, he did a good job for us and a much better job than Mangini is doing for us. I appreciate what he did, I hope Mangini ends up being better. he's in a hopeless situation w/ carl Peterson running the show but I do not feel bad b/c he made his decision to leave.
Carl Peterson got all of his QBs killed too. What a bastard that Peterson guy is. Junc, when herm was here you said he inherited a mediocre team and won with them. So, now he has a mediocre team for real and he's losing. How does that work exactly?
LMAO 20 First downs to 0... I Remember this game wasnt it the playoffs a couple years ago. Poor Herm. "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!!"
It's Herm's fault he lost some QBs? It's his fault Chad is an injury prone QB? Was it Herm's fault Chad got hurt in preseason 2000 or last year? That srgument is so silly. he turned us from a medicore team into one of the better AFC teams, He made KC better in year 1 but they are in full rebuilding mode w/ an incompetent GM running that team. That GM has run the Chiefs for nearly 20 years and it's been 15 since the Chiefs have won a playoff game, Again, I have no sympathy for Herm as he left us on his own, he made his choice. It would have been wise knowing carl Peterson a little better.
I always hated Herm a little after this pic. There was no need to look quite so jubilant after ditching the Jets and taking over the Chiefs. It's low of me, I know, and I also know pictures can be taken out of context, but I actually enjoy what's happened to the Chiefs since.
Herm did a good job for us overall, but he is never gonna win a super bowl because he coaches scared.... see Pittsburgh playoff game. The biggest problem with Herm is he coaches with no sense of urgecy, he coaches like he has a job for life. And Herm is heavily involved in personnel decisions so he is just as responsible as Peterson for the mess in KC. Bottom line, they are worse off now then they were when he came. That was 3 years ago, three, not one
Well let's see, is it Herm's fault he lost some QBs? How many years as a head coach has Herm had an injured QB? Full rebuild mode in the 3rd year? Does that make sense? Have the Chiefs gotten worse since he's been there? Yes. Are you comparing Herm's years with the Jets to the one single year of Al Groh? Because I KNOW you're not talking about the guy before him. A winning record with Ray Lucas. Yeah....I'd LOVE to see Herm pull that one off. As stated by another poster, yes Herm is partly responsible for those personel decisions. Here's some silliness: Mr. Dick from 2000 until Hermie 2000 - 7 - 9 2001 - 6 - 10 2002 - 8 - 8 2003 - 13 - 3 2004 - 7 - 9 2005 - 10 - 6 Hermie 2006 - 9 - 7 2007 - 4 - 12 2008 - 1 - 4 More silliness: The Edwards era got off to an inauspicious start on Opening Day vs. Cincinnati (9/10). QB Trent Green suffered a severe head trauma in the third quarter when he scrambled and went into a hook slide. Bengals DE Robert Geathers delivered a blow to the Chiefs signal caller, whose head violently bounced off the turf. Green lay motionless on the field for several minutes before he was taken to a local hospital. The Chiefs would lose the contest by a 23-10 count. For the first time since 2000, a quarterback other than Green started a contest for Kansas City as backup QB Damon Huard served as field general the following week at Denver (9/17). Kansas City would drop a tough 9-6 OT decision to the Broncos as the club fell to 0-2. So what is it like 4 years in a row Herm has had an injured QB? Wow. So read the facts before you start talking about silliness.
Herm isn;'t the GM, it's not his fault they are in full rebuilding mode. They lost alot of talent the past few years and have some good young players but sitll don't have alot of talent. Who had a winning record w/ Lucas? That was Parcells and we finished 8-8 that year. How many playoff wins under vermeil? and he had a MUCH more talented team. The team has gotten worse b/c of a lack of talent which falls on the GM. I know we'd be alot better right now if Herm was our Coach. I still think Mangini has the POTENTIAL to be better but so far he hasn't been. I guess it was Parcells fault that Vinny got hurt in '99? I guess it was Parcells fault Simms was hurt early in his career? I guess Belichick must be at fault for Brady going down. It's so silly to balme the coach for the QB getting hurt but what would I expect from a guy who 3 years later still obsesses about Herm.
Haha. There was one in particular where he's shrugging during a press conference like the clueless moron that he is. Someone had it as an avatar a few years back, and it got to me every time.
A post From that board, this is priceless. It appears the infamous "Dick Curl" is on Herm's staff in KC: Tim Krumrie and Dick Curl need to be gone, period. Carl can give them a ride on the way out of town. __________________ "You need to average 26-28 field goals a year. We only average 19.
