Kenny Golladay - 521 yards and zero TDs - they gave him 4 years 72 mill. Kadarious Toney - 420 yards and zero TDs. First round pick #20. Vs Corey Davis - 492 yards 4 TDs - we paid 3year 37mill. Elijah Moore - 538 yards 5 TDs - 2nd round pick #34. Both franchises went after WRs this off-season and the more you look at what the giants did and achieved the worse it looks. don't agree with this at all. giants did, it just hasn't worked out they had mike glennon who by all means is a quality veteran backup. the idea that starter material QBs are just out there waiting to back someone up is insane. also the need for a top tier backup is only from playoff teams really. for non playof teams it's typically a waste as far as o-line the giants have invested a lot over the past few years LT thomas (2020 4th overall pick) LG Lemieux (2020 5th rounder) C Gates (2018 UDFA, started in 2020 and allowed 0 sacks) RG hernandez (34rd overall 2018 draft, was considered a 1st round talent) RT Peart (3rd rounder 2020 draft 99th overall) also LT/RT nate soldier (signed in 2018 to a 4 year 62 million dollar contract was the top free agent OT on the market) so in 2018 they signed the top OT on the market to a huge deal and used a high 2nd on an OG who was considered a 1st rounder that slipped, and found an UDFA C who's actually played pretty well. then in 2020 they drafted an OT 4th overall, a Rt in the 3rd, a LG in the 5th. that's a lot to invest. the issue is it hasn't worked out. thomas has been disappointing as has hernandez despite both being highly rated in the draft. soldier has been a bust signing and was only good becuase of brayd getting the ball out fats and making his o-line look better. Peart has had issues beating out soldier and hasn't played well. LG lemieuz only played 17 snaps before being out for the year. gates also got hurt pretty early in the year. the edge rusher is true. it's a need of them for sure. the secondary they spent a lot on and actually have a good secondary. bradbury is their highest paid player this year cap wise, jackson is 6th and ryan is 10th. they have 3 CBs in their highest paid 10 players cap wise. giants got hit pretty bad with injuries. about 47 mil on IR this season including their QB. They are in a bad spot overall though in cap hell, have to decide on their QB who hasn't been good, too many overpaid players under producing. gettleman is gone but they are sticking with jones and judge for another year which seems dumb to me
The Giants have institutional memory of what a good franchise looks like and how it operates. So when they get in a serious funk like they are now there is always the chance that somebody wakes up and remembers how to run the show properly. It's just a chance though. The Maras are aging just like the Johnsons and at some point the next generation kicks in and they can be terrible or good.
Not going to belabor this point too much either but if the Jets want to keep Zach Wilson they better go get a great hands team for him because he does not throw the most catchable balls. They need to get Richie Anderson, Keyshawn Johnson, Wayne Chrebet type hands for him. That's what made Vinny so much better with the Jets than he was elsewhere. And they better get a TE who can catch a rock barehanded.
They were in the wilderness for over a decade until the league stepped in and recommended George Young who restored credibility to the organization. They need to find their next Young because it doesn't look like the league is going to intervene any time soon.
that Belichick coaching tree sucks…I don’t think there’s a single one who’s been successful Brian Flores maybe the best of the bunch but he just got fired too…
yes…but he’s been great in college…did not do well in the NFL…different gig…plenty of great college coaches failed in the NFL…
It's like you know Joe Judge is gonna get fired the following year but they rather suck it up and keep him on payroll. Like the Jets with Gase the year before he was fired. Some people you know are gonna be out of a HC position soon
Because I called the shitty year or because I called the not ready for primetime QB prospect? I get the younger guys who weren't here last time I went negative before the Bradway/Tannenbaum wreck collapsed. Some of you have seen me in times like these before and you know I'm right.
Toney missed most of the first 7 games and when he came back he had slop at QB. The dude looks like a baller when he actually gets a chance.

Herbert throws fucking lasers and his receivers don’t seem to have a problem catching them. I’ve never seen a quarterback wing 8 yard out routes as hard as that guy and there’s no issue. We just need better skill position players with better hands.
Look at what he actually did this season. Look at what the QB's who are successful around the NFL did their first seasons. The odds on him being worth anything are microscopically low at this point. Even with all the hardships he endured as a rookie in terms of talent and injuries around him. And not to belabor the obvious but his failures had nothing to do with the coaching at all. Every other QB of questionable provenance that LaFleur and company had access to this year, in those same hardship conditions, looked at least decent in those trials.
There is no point sugar coating what Zach is. I'd accept Detriot's 2nd for Zach. But they'd never agree to it.
I believe Mike Vrabel is the only one, he also copies Bellicheat blueprint very well, grind it out football with emphasis on balance of run and pass with as little mistakes as possible.
