Lettuce be real here. We will be fighting the Dolphins for 2nd place in the division. Lets not give the Bills that much credit. Secondly, learning how to take snaps from center can be accomplished I'm sure over the course of the next few months.. Learning how to stop turnovers that have plagued your career for the past 4 years, is going to take a lot longer than that.
Bingo. There's a way to ease a QB into learning how to take snaps from under center. There's really not a way to stop Sanchez from turning the ball over like he does without limiting the offense, unless Sanchez himself changes TREMENDOUSLY. Somehow I doubt that happens...
Ummmm..Play design? As I pointed out, look at Pennington, 06,07....versus the rest of his career. The problem here is not the QB. It never has been. Penny, is the proof.
Sanchez misses wide open WR's by miles while having all day in the pocket to throw.. What is your excuse for that? I am curious.. You always have an excuse for each situation so lets start with this one.
Sanchez wont break his habits, Idzik will NOT put his job on the line letting Mark play QB, I cant see it
Keep telling yourself that..... The difference between Sanchez meager completion percentage, and being OVER 60 percent is 2 passes a game. 2. All day in the pocket? On what planet? Oh, right iin 2011, he had that all pro, Wayne Hunter at RT....then because Wayne moved on to Canton, we inserted...Austin Howard? :rofl2: All the while, refusing to adapt to the short passing game. In fact, in 2012, we dropped from 91 completions to backfield players, to 41... If you knew you knew nothing, that would be something.
Those arent habits. Those are a result, of what he is asked to do. As I said, did Chad become a turnover machine, for the two years under Schotty, because he sucked, or the system sucked?
Most of the time he was rushed and had to get the ball out quickly, but there were a number of times last season where he had time to throw and had open receivers, and he flat out threw it short or lead the receiver to much. I do not need to sit here and type out 9 paragraphs of stats for you... WATCH THE DAMN GAMES.. He just does not have the accuracy needed to cut it as a starting NFL Quarterback. I am sorry. I do not know how else to break this to you.
So Sanchez was asked to double pump into INTs, run into Moores ass, over throw open receivers and under throw covered receivers
Please, with repeating the nonsense. Heres the deal. Sanchez, has produced in shitty circumstances, and.,,the organization thinks..,he will be better. Geno produced in optimal circumstances and the organization thinks he can get better. But, in September, Geno isnt going to be throwing every THIRD pass to Tavon Austin, hence.,,,he will be carrying a clipboard, Tavon Austin, over matching CBs, who are now bagging groceries, is 1/3rd. Of Genos career No knock on Geno, he can play. But right now, hes a raw prospect. He is not a Starter at QB,
While you barely make a excuse on mark's decision making... let me say.. Wayne Hunter was ACTUALLY solid before his collapse, before it went viral anyway.. But from all of your posts.. it's easy to tell you are a Sanchez fan... NOT a Jet fan. You are the type of insect to reach for the sky when you have nothing left to defend Mark. The type of bug to cling on to ANY stat that agrees with you........YET! if everything you claim about sanchez is legit....... then i guess we are stupid as fuck for drafting Geno.. if Sanchez is how you state he is... then it would have been like the Jets drafting a Center in the 1-2 second round... makes sense doesn't it ?
Hey, hey, hey! this is a thread for beaten horse conversations about Eugene Cyril Smith III, not for Sanchez.fftopic: Let me ask a question to get back on track... So while ES3 been developing slowly but surely and he most certainly has his priorities and work ethic straight, the system is still pretty difficult for him to learn. with that in mind, does anybody know how its taken this damn long for McDonalds to add bacon to a quarter pounder? I mean its not like this country isn't doing literally EVERYTHING in its power to add bacon to every part of our diet yet the biggest fast food chain is only NOW putting it on their food? They've been beaten to the punch by like literally everybody! or have I just not been paying attention? I'm just truly baffled that its taken this long. weird... anyways, hey Geno Smith! I wonder how he'll come into camp come the 25th? I think he'll come in having pretty much mastered the terminology and hopefully with a little help from Garrard (he isn't an official coach yet right?) have had some more time to properly work on his drop back. The Jets won't want to wait it out all august if he's not ready, they will go with the more experienced option should he not be set by preseason game 1. He has to show up big come camp I believe he has it in him to be exactly what we need this year, but its just a matter of getting there at a comfortable level.
What, outside of last season, has been shitty circumstance for Sanchez? The coaching wasnt great... but Sanchez had the luxury of a top 5 OL, run game and defense for the majority of his career. He also had a 1st round pick at TE and at least average weapons (outside of last year). He also had a defensive minded head coach that wanted to run the ball, and play defense, effectively limiting the pressure on Sanchez. If you ask me, he was in a pretty damn good situation up until 2012. Even up until then, I dont think he has played well. Yes, the TEAM produced, but from a quarterbacking standpoint, he didnt produce that much in comparison to the rest of the league. As for Geno's optimal circumstances, he had 2 very good receivers and then a bunch of nobodies on the ENTIRE team. If Im a QB, I dont think its very optimal to have to score 35+ points to win a game because my defense sucks. Or that my run game and OL arent very good. Basically, Geno's "optimal" situation consisted of 2 very dynamic, yet very short receivers. Thats about it. Sanchez's "shitty" situation (looking at his career), has been top notch OL, run game, defense and special teams and some decent weapons, with a not so great OC. Seems fair.
Because it's like trying to win a race with a car with a flat tire. At the end of the day, the car with the flat tire (muck sanchez) has no chance to win regardless of how well the other parts perform.
Im sorry. Remind me again, what was the win loss record last year. Oh, right. Losses count for the team, when its Geno. For Sanchez not so much. Sanchez was the better player his last year incollege, statistically, and since you just threw out 2012, has never had a losing season. Nobodies, on the entire team...curious...how many weapons has sanchez had, drafted where Austin was drafted? In their prime? Top notch OL? Wayne fucking Hunter? Austin Howard? Yeah, that will keep the LDE, or OLB out of your face.. Tell me you are Joking
From coach Lee He's the most interesting guy. When his footwork is good success follows him like no other quarterback I've ever coached. It happens every day," Lee said. "He double hitches on the posts it makes him late instead of a single hitch. Those things are killing him. We've installed so much, so many plays. And then there's new plays and what's that footwork."
