After 4 years of Sanchez, I dream about a QB that can play average. I'd love to see what a Rex Ryan defense can do when the offense doesn't turn it over every other time, and go 3 and out the rest of the time. Geno doesn't even have to score, just make a few first downs and punt, and it will be a monumental improvement.

That is what is so wonderful about the NFL draft, you really never know how QBs will pan out until they dress on Sunday. Whether you like the pick or not, you have to be excited about the possibility that Geno is the QB that we Jets fans have been waiting for for over 40 years.

For this very reason, I love the pick. We knew Sanchez wasn't getting it done and Gerrard most likely would have gotten injured at some point (we all know that already happened). Geno was sitting there for us in the 2nd round, it was a no brainier to pick him. We had other needs of course, but if Geno pans out, we went from a 6 win team to a 9-10 win team with the possibility of competing for a SB in a few years. No other player could have that kind of impact for us at that draft position.

If he doesn't pan out, we lost a 2nd rounder and wasted a season. A 2nd rounder doesn't set us back a few years like a top 5 QB would have. And if this happens, we will be in a great position to draft anther QB in a much higher ranked QB class next season.

    This:

And that makes Hill a WCO receiver too, assuming he can stay healthy and hold on to the ball. The whole theory behind WCO is gaining yardage with short throws which opens up the long throw. Kerley and Holmes are perfect fits IMO. And Geno's accuracy, should it hold true, is the icing on the cake.

This is Holmes contract year & he's gonna do what every player does when FA is coming. Holmes will have a very productive season & he'll be a friendly, positive teammate. He'll also leave for the highest bidder in 2014.

What's most important is for Geno & Sanchez is that the Jets will have a #1 WR willing to do anything to succeed in the new West Coast Offense. This will give Kerley & Hill a chance to develop with less pressure than 2013. Hopefully, next season, one of them is capable of being a #1 WR or Jets will have to spend a very early draft pick on WR (or sign one through FA).

Assuming he's able to. Holmes game is all speed and elusiveness. If his foot takes some of that away he's probably not particularly good any more. He was already showing some real flaws with all the oopsies with the ball.

Until I see Holmes playing well and not screwing things up randomly in the process I'm going to be happier with Kerley at FL. At least he tries hard all the time and doesn't go diva in the process.

Kerley's the best receiver on the team. Look what he did last season amidst the total offensive bed shit of a season we had. Which QB starts is lucky to have him. Coupled with Holmes thats two squirrelly receivers that are serious yac threats. Then we got Hill out long to capitalize on defenses having to take care of Holmes/JK. Watch for Cumberland to have a better than expected season too. Even if Goodson ends up off the roster, I still even like our RBs in this offense. The key is can all these guys pick up a new offense and be on the same page. Last season it seemed like guys were never on the same page and everything was off beat. Hoping for some offensive life this season! There is reason for hope.

Well this is Geno talk: He hired Roc Nation, Jay-Z's agency to represent him. I'm sure some people will continue to say this shows him being a diva or wanting attention or something. It is a bit of an add choice considering you'd figure he'd want to go with someone with a proven track record but I don't really think it's a huge deal either way.

This is extremely optimistic. Holmes is solid when healthy but we don't know when that will be. Even when he is healthy you can't expect 2010 Holmes because Braylon Edwards was the one commanding double teams that year freeing Holmes up to do more. Kerley is ok... I wouldn't rate him higher than even Jerricho Cotchery, who was never more than a middle end #2 at best.

Hill has lots of potential but lets see it. Its very easy to think that the potential will translate into production but a lot of guys never put it together. I want to see something out of Hill before believing he won't be one of them.

Good point. Needs to win the starter job first, though. Not too many backup QBs get endorsement deals. Except Tebow, but, yeah, he's Tebow. Talent isn't really relevant to his followers.

Yeah remember when Ricky Williams signed with Master P. That worked out really well for him!

    You're comparing Master P to Jay Z?

Roc Nation Sports is partnered with Creative Artisits Agency. It's a very solid choice.

Didn't master p try to be an agent though while jay z is just associating his name?

CAA runs most of the NBA. Regarded very highly.

The first post (by @gsxii) is Geno himself.

Is it just me or do they almost look related?

I mean their facial structure is very similar besides some size, age and skin tone differences.

They don't look exactly the same, but theres an uncanny resemblance there thats jarring to me.

Yeah they're both rappers with high net worth that have no experience promoting or being agents for NFL players.

At least Ricky Williams had the excuse that he was nuts.

But whatever, as long as Geno can play well IDGAF

Does this mean that Geno is now part of the Illuminati?

Maybe we'll actually win a Super Bowl after all.
