I think that Matt can move the ball. And if there is any kind of a spark maybe his teammates across the board will play better. And we know they are capable of winning but not with this kind of terrible play on offense esp at Qb. No way Geno should be starting this is a losing proposition.
Fuck this organization and fuck Rex Ryan. I hope his fat, skinny ass gets shit canned. Fuckin chicken neck.
PSSSSSSSST.....that's the air coming out of our defense when they heard Geno was starting. Sucks to be them.
The D doesn't get a pass, they allowed a mediocre O to dominate them. If Miami had a better QB we would have been down 30 by halftime. The D was atrocious yesterday too.
Sucks for the fans who have tickets to this game, too. Reminds me of the discussion regarding Sanchez's contract of sunk costs.
Hoping, just hoping this doesn't turn out to be a wasted draft pick. I'm always of the opinion of getting the core of your O fixed before attempting to get your franchise guy. The O line and receivers need to be addressed before attempting to draft a QB. If you have those addressed then most of the blame can fall on the QB.
Geno still has a higher completion % than Sanchez did last year and is on pace to throw for more yards and on track to only turn it over 1 more time than Sanchez (per ESPNs algorithm projection). Thats funny with how bad hes been (as a rookie) with a worse offense, its still better than Sanchez.
prorating Geno's #s to 453 attempts: 11 TDs(Mark had 13) 26 INTs(Mark had 18) he has done this w/ more talent and a MUCH better OC. Mark at his absolute worst was significantly better than geno.
That's a really good point and surprising. But I would guess most of Geno's plus stats as compared to Mark were before the past three games. I can't remember even Mark being this horrible as what we've seen over the past month. You have to throw some of this on the coaching. Marty was OC in Phila for a long time after he had a short stint as Lions HC. But he's not been the savior here like some people said not too long ago. This is a total breakdown on offense. But it starts with Geno. He's not playing NFL caliber football even bottom of the rung. This is off the charts bad.
Why are we comparing this year to last year? Whichever year wins as least bad is no where near good enough. If Geno Smith beats Mark Sanchez in QBR by 0.03 points how does that get us back to the Superbowl?
4 year starter vs rookie. mark was better with less, although not that much less they were/are both horrible. horse shit and cow shit is still shit
He was very unaccurate yesterday. That was one of his strong suits. He doesn't seem to be improving. We will have 4 more games to evaluate him.
On what fucking planet is 54> 55? And Smith has already turned it over 24 times. The only way he doesn't get past 26, is of he doesnt play. Stop making shit up.
So here's a thought. The Jets are giving Geno a chance to stay in the game. If he screws up they'll give Matt Simms a chance to stay in the game. What we saw out of both of them against the Fins was not enough to overturn the status quo. So this week if Geno sucks he'll come out and then it is incumbent on Simms not to suck. That's how he'll get a start. Just an opinion.
Hahaha Hey you stupid piece of shit. Geno has a 54.7% completion, Sanchez had 54.3%. Which one is higher? Sanchez turned it over 32 times, 18 INT, 14 Fumbles. "Stop making shit up" you say as you make up every fact in your post. Haha loser.
