What are you basing this on? The play where the the genius Colinsworth said he should have trusted Hill to be there on the slant? (Trust stehpen hill on a route? Yeah...)

Or vs the Bucs when Revis broke up two slant passes (here, Revis looked like Revis)

Yeah they will because they killed any comeback. Guess what they should because he needs to get better. I don't expect him to get it next week, but hey it's a clear weakness in his game. He wants to be a pro qb, he needs to adapt to the pro passing game.

False. Yes it does matter. Once again, give it time. Its only the 2nd game.

and thats from a Hall of Fame QB. Listen, we cant turn the ball over like we do, especially in the scoring zone. There still needs to be that threat in the scoring zone that strikes fear in the Defense, something the Jets have not had since Keyshawn (Maybe Plax). It really dosent matter who we have taking snaps if he dosent have anybody to protect him, catch the ball, or even get open. Again, we saw this with a future Hall of Famer last evening.

After the way Sanchez played there needed to be a competition. You can't hand a guy the job coming off that bad off a season.
Right, and as expected he is going through growing pains. I'd rather him go through what he did in that game and him learn from it. Like I said if he does the same thing as a 3rd/4th year vet then you can kill him for it. But not after only 2 games. Have some damn perspective.

Geno has 10 days. Take it all in rookie. He needs an excellent game against Buffalo.

    Meaning no turnovers.

Dont you see a trend here? Jets QB's turning the ball over at an alarming rate. I saw last night that Geno stars down recievers and dosent work his progressions very well (outside of the check down to Powell). He holds the ball far too long and does not have the internal clock that a QB must have.

I did like that when he didnt see anybody open his threw the ball away instead of forcing it. But, at the end of the day he took sacks, threw away ball, AND thew interceptions.

No doubt to me we lost the game because of the 3 picks. And they were all on Geno not the wide receivers. He has to show better judgment. And last night he actually had a running game to help him out the Qbs second best friend (the OL is his best friend). But he's a rookie Qb and has not been horrible in his first two starts. The rule of thumb is usually about 12 starts before things start slowing down. For some guys (like Brady Quinn) it never slows down.

Sanchez played like that last year w/ half the talent Geno had last night. mark has proven he can play and win in this league w/ decent talent. It's comical how everyone blames Mark yet gives Geno a pass b/c receivers dropped passes but the weapons we had last night were light years better than what we had most of 2012 when mark had his only bad season.

Geno was very good through 3 qtrs, but collapsed in the 4th. I do not blame him for the loss though he didn't help late. He's young and learning, he is showing he can be a very good one in spurts. He needs to learn from last night and I think he'll be ok.

Those should be corrected in due time. I like Geno's work ethic. He watches tape and studies and I think he'll improve. But everybody knew that Geno would be going through growing pains. It's as antagonizing to watch as I'm sure it is for Geno to go through himself. I'd probably start to worry if by week 10/11 he's still doing the same thing.

I don't think that ball is picked if it's not deflected, but that's conjecture. It was a throw that probably shouldn't have been thrown.

    Four years?

If he's making theses mistakes in week 10 we'd better be drafting a QB in round 1 next year.

I am pulling for Geno, I don't blame him but on the flip side the irrational sanchez haters can't give Geno a pass for everything they bashed Mark about. The big excuse is about the weapons, how come when mark had MUCH worse weapons a year ago you didn't seem to care?

If he isn't progressing THEN you draft a QB. If not I see no reason to draft a QB next year.

Sanchez got a pass as a rookie, so Geno should get a pass too, or am I wrong?

umm, no we shouldn't. We should be drafting some playmakers. What do Manning, Luck (to this point), Aikman, Kelly, Dalton, Ryan...list can go on and on, have in common? They all were/are allowed to grow with young talent. The Jets made a decision to start Geno Smith (I think way before Marks injury). If they dont give him some fucking weapons then he turns into another bust. We draft another QB of the future to have him fail?

on an aside, this is why we had to get ride of Revis, this team is waay to invested on the other side of the ball.

No we lost the game because our recievers can't catch.. We put Geno in a situation where he had to win the game for us which is why he made his mistakes... He is not ready for that yet..We could have been up by two touchdowns at least if Gates/Hill don't drop those balls. Dude is a rookie. He showed great poise and is only going to get better... The guy is accurate as shit.. I am excited about what is to come.
