Penny has a history of being a caretaker who doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The previous few years, teams have been more able to pick off some of his softer throws, but do you really want to say that Pennington chucked the ball up for grabs? The main reason we got rid of him to get Favre is because we wanted someone who would take more chances and move the ball down the field more!

And that's your opinion. My opinion is that we would be 4-3 or 5-2 if we had Pennington at quarterback, and we'd feel more confident about ourselves because we wouldn't have let crappy teams linger around because our QB turns the ball over 8 times in 3 games.

I'm still in favor of bringing Favre aboard. We brought him over to win big games, something Pennington couldn't do enough. He rarely played poorly, but he never carried us to victory. Favre can do that. His first test is next Sunday against Buffalo.

I don't count the Patriots game because he had been here for a month. Now, it's been enough time where we need to start making strides forward.

Brett is not just taking risks, he is throwing stupid passes into double coverage. That is not just taking a risk, that is taking a HUGE unnecessary risk. He did this twice today.

The coaching staff seems to be utterly retarded. Explain to me why we didnt run the ball today? Was it because we were trying to outsmart KC knowing that they expected us to run the ball? OK maybe, but when it really wasnt being all that effective why not try to switch it up. I mean for christ sakes we almost lost this game and when we did try to run we had very good success.

Oh, I forgot Baker didnt play today so we couldnt run the ball. This is what I got out of the Mangini interview today. Is he serious? Are you telling me Baker is the key to our running game and we just cant do it at all without him? This is a joke, we should have pounded the ball down their throats and ran the PA pass.

agreed. I'm not happy about Favre's turnovers either....and i hope that gets rectified sooner rather than later.

But you nailed it on the head...Favre gives us that chance to win late in the game...an area where Penny has failed us on too many occasions. Sure, Penny takes care of the ball better than Favre....but i will take a sloppy win over a "game-managed loss" any day of week :)

Penny has started 67 games and has 58 INTs. That's about .87 INT/Game.

Favre has started 259 games, and has 296 INT. That's about 1.14 INT/Game.

If you check the TDs though, Favres 455 TDs get him about 1.76 TD/Game.

    Pennington's 88 give him about 1.31 TD/Game.

So Favre is throwing .45 more TDs a game and .27 more INTs a game.

Take from that what you will. Favre's 39 years old though, and we definitely need to have a QB of the future ready. Favre probably makes the decision for us and just quits.
