I Like how Revis' knees hit the ground before he tackles. He's a force to be reckoned with

I have a feeling that's the way it is. Being a coach is part politician, I suppose. That's where guys like Coughlin fail. Mangini basically stepped into this with a bunch of "Club Ed" guys, and for the most part those guys are still there. This was his year to truly evaluate, and cut the more popular people that don't fit his scheme.

Let them hang themselves. Happens every day.

But yeah...I don't want to see that crap either, on TGD. I'm still uncertain about KC, but at the very least he gives them the ability to finally stretch the field, use the sidelines when the clock is low, etc.. which automatically opens up our running game. One big feeding cycle. I can at least fantasize, can't I? lol

This is not fantasy. A real live NFL QB behind center will automatically make the Jets offense better by default because of all those things.

Harris and Revis were excellent today. They were 2 of the 3 best players on the field. If Clemens is at least mediocre the Jets will be ok.

Clemens will be good. Revis will be a probowler and Harris is waaay better than I thought he would be. Vilma should stay, just move his position. Chad is still a good QB, just not a good fit to play in 8 games in the windy Meadowlands. If he were the qb of chicago they would be the best team in the NFC. What is our biggest need right now. We are looking at a top 5 pick? My guess is DE. I think Mangini is having some growing pains. The only game I REALLY want to win is the NE game.

I think it was funny that when KC came in, he had about 3 drops where the ball hit the receiver in the hands, but they weren't expecting the ball that quickly.

Along with the first year draft picks and a couple of the younger hold overs, this is a pretty good starting mix of young players. I personally like where we are going.

Revis looked great and that game winning TD that evans caught was clearly not revis fault it was elam's but you cant knock him for trying to hit the reciever he looked really good and David Harris , OMG! this is what we needed a true 3-4 inside guy who can put a beating on the RB i honestly havent seen that in vilma in almost 2 years... As for clemens it was stupid to bring him in on a 2 minute offense when he hasnt played a true game in months but 2 interceptions still werent needed as for his arm , it still looks great... Things are bright for us but this season is just disgusting.

    Revis, Harris, Elam, Clemens

Tell you what, I'm looking forward to the 2nd half of the season. We play some good teams, but we're going to have better personnel. Harris, in his limited appearances, has been a beast and he proved today he's the real deal. You gotta love Elam's motor. KC's plays vertical, which will unleash Jones. Draft: NT, move Robertson to end.

    Three if's here.

If Clemens displays low aptitude for actually QBing in the NFL over a multiple game period, and

If there is a franchise QB that everybody identifies as clearly the best available and who has all the qualities required to be a franchise QB, and

If he's available on a top 3 type pick for the Jets, then

The Jets are going to have to draft him. Or risk the damnation of a decade in the pits.

What team has obstinately refused to draft a franchise QB prospect over the last decade despite not having a great QB playing for them? Hint, they are about the only team in the league definitively doing worse than the Jets right now.
