These are our expenses from the original fundly campaign. We ran a second t-shirt campaign on Booster that added to our donation and helped to pay off our net loss from the first campaign. Total income: $13120.00 Total after fundly/wepay fees: $12067.19 Total Expenses: $12778.99 Lamar Outdoor: $7000 (billboard space) Tshirt production: $2210.34 (t-shirts + rush fees + shipping) Donation: $1000 Billboard Printing: $576 (vinyl billboard) blank shirts - second run: $323.97 (t-shirts) USPS t-shirt shipping: $1272.60 Total Legal: $284.00 (llc formation & ein paperwork) Hoefler: $69.00 (nitro font) Godaddy: $22.14 (domain registration + web builder + email) Duane Reade: $20.94 (tape) Total net loss: -$721.80 Now cue the obvious "how do you prove that these expenses are legit" response. As I said, I am happy to share the receipts with a moderator. Apologize or continue to look foolish. It is up to you.
I think the billboard is a symbol, and I leave symbols to the symbol minded. If your billboard really influences Woody into decisions about the Jets then I need to find a new team to follow. It would be pretty scary to hear Woody say that a bunch of "...fan's billboards helped influence my decision..." If his decision making about the Jets is that easily swayed then there is no help for this franchise.
Hmmmmm.... Ok, I get it... some of you like the billboards and some of you don't. But please stop all the namecalling. Thank you. I think these billboards are cool. They bring more negative media attention to Woody's team, if there's not enough of that already. As we all know, media attention means a lot to Woody and he strives to get as much of it as he can (Tebow, Favre, etc.), just not the negative one. So, maybe, just maybe these billboards (through the additional negative media attention they bring) will at least somewhat influence him to do something about commitment to mediocrity that's quickly changing to commitment to suckiness.
I honestly think there is no chance that Rex is back at this point. Last night was the last straw. The atmosphere created by the hyper-vigilant media would be beyond toxic. You can't go 2-14/3-13/4-12 in NY after 3 straight non-winning/non-playoff wins and survive. And since the popular opinion is clearly that Idzik deserves much more of the blame than Rex (something I don't particularly agree with), I don't think Idzik will survive either.
You forgot to mention another favorite of yours - Hermy Edwards Hermy, Schotty, Tanny, Marky Mark.... what a great company!
I have no problem with the Idzik billboard because he deserves to be fired .This is a win now league everybody knows that by now ,Idziks motto is "Maybe we could win in 7 years if we save our money and get lucky"
I'm a real Jet fan. I was a season ticket holder over forty years ago. I'm embarrassed by two wins at Thanksgiving. I'm embarrassed by a quarterback who doesn't want to be on the field. I'm embarrassed by a front office that doesn't seem to care there are huge holes in the secondary and the receiver corps is among the league's worst. I'm not embarrassed in the slightest by people whose frustration pushes them to the point where they put their hard earned dollars into sending a message to the owner that the "real Jet fans" are tired of the "Same Old Jets."
I wouldn't donate and I haven't bought a ticket since I gave up my ST in 316. But I like the billboards. Keeps things fresh.
Get yourself a coach that has a system to develop football teams, fundamentals, a discipline system, a draft and free agent system, a system where all players compete for their jobs every year, etc.. Get yourself a football contract agent, not a general manager, that knows how to negotiate with other teams to get players that the coach says they need. This guy has to know the cap system as well as the coach. If the coach is any good he'll let Vick and Geno go, and draft or free agent 3 quarterbacks for next year and let them compete for the starting job. That's a start.
and you deserve what is going on as do most Jet fans who always want to fire this guy, cut that guy, etc...
absolutely, some of the best in team history that helped give us many chances to reach SBs but you guys prefer being 2-9. Your mocking post is what the average Jet fan believes and it's why the average Jet fan deserves this mess.
