That of course would do nothing to resolve the divide over the Jets but it would create a heyday for the "Peyton Manning can't win the big game" crowd.
When the Jets have someone like Tom Brady at QB, and have won the division 4 years out of 5 (will be 5 out of 6 after this year), I'll give them a larger benefit of the doubt than their season record might indicate. Since my post overwhelmingly turned out to be supported by the Jets' play today, I'll stick with my assessment that they are not a truly playoff caliber team. It's pretty clear that the Pats are a cut below what they've been in the past, no doubt in large part because of the fact they don't have a decent receiver on the team, but IMO they're pretty clearly still playoff caliber. Jets fans comparing the team to the Pats always gives me a laugh.
