Bro that’s Cam Newton not Cam Ward. That minimal clip influenced your opinion of him?!

im rooting for him too, sucks that he went to the Browns.

With NIL and the insane amount of money college players get now, there will be more and more players like Shadeur Sanders every year in the draft.

At some point these dusty old scouts gotta get over it. They are drafting millionaire athletes now

The jets had a chance to draft Lamar Jackson and didn’t and had a chance to draft shaduer for free basically instead they chose a receiver who can’t catch as we don’t have enough of those already, if even there is a 2 percent chance of shadeur panning and being your franchise qb you risk the 4th or 5th round pick, because if you can get a franchise qb making the league min for 4 years you can build a super team, that’s why the jets are the jets and will always be the jets and will always suck as long as woody owns them.

The Jets had no interest in him, none, zero, nada. It’s quite simple to understand, and nothing to do with value, but rather avoiding massive headaches and distractions while trying to build a team with him sitting on the beach in year one. Good luck to the Brownies, a team with an excellent history of getting the best at of their QB investments.

yeah the jets really worry about getting distractions that’s why they wined and dined Aaron Rodgers and let him do what he wants, and let a 18 year old give his 2 cents off madden and let him be in the locker room. Who cares about distractions this franchise hasn’t sniffed the playoffs in 15 years and have no plan whatsoever to get themselves a franchise qb, if sanders has even a 1 percent chance of being one you take it and worry about distractions later, it’s to easy to just release him
If he becomes too much of a distraction, he has no guaranteed money.

Don’t waste your time with that guy. He doesn’t wanna discuss and debate sports like an adult. he wants to come here and whine like a baby no matter what happens.

I am laying all my credibility here. But Jets will regret not spending a 4th rounder on him. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth but he still went thru life as a player like a Blue Collar worker. Hope I am wrong. Personally, I will be rooting for him to be successful.

Also, is Glenn so insecure not to manage a 4th rounder QB drama? I get it. Hard nosed etc. If Bellichick lived with drama queen Brady, you gotta handle a drama with a 4th rounder QB.

Dude. I have a huge ego as well and sometimes I act entitled. My mother and father didn't know how to read and write and they never went to school. It was my ego that carried me thru the life and now I do very well in life compared to my humble beginnings in life. Come to me with football terms for not wanting him and I will accept. But if Glenn is the tough guy he acts like he is, I hope Jets eliminated Sanders for football reasons and not for huge ego etc.

    No regrets.

There are a lot of quotes out there, many attributed anonymously that are meant to manipulate where a player might be picked. And that might be the case here thanks to a quote from an anonymous "longtime NFL assistant coach" to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero about Shedeur Sanders: "[Sanders had] the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates. ... But the biggest thing is, he's not that good."

Wait till next year with Carson Beck. He’s twice as egotistical

Again this is the new normal, they will come into the draft as millionaires

Egotistical people make the best quarterbacks, see Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Jeff George, Etc. You don't command a room by being a quite pussy like Zack Wilson. Joe Namath was a cocky egotistical bastard, and he was the greatest quarterback we ever had.

It has everything to do with father Deion looming in the shadows hoping to become an NFL head coach at the first moments of trouble. Aaron Glenn wants NO part of that and neither does Mougey. Now for the other teams that passed on him, paste in the names of their head coach and GM.

Sorry. With the baggage coming along with him, he would have to be a practically sure thing to take that on, and he isn’t. As stated, new GM and coach don’t need the circus. Not worth the gamble

I believe it’s a combination of both. If they thought he was a potential big time QB they would have felt the ancillary stuff was worth it. The fact they didn’t shows they didn’t think much of his potential

Keep in mind the team that drafted him also signed Deshawn Watson to the biggest guaranteed contract in NFL history. Frankly I'm shocked they didn't jump into the Aaron Rodgers finale eyes wide shut.

This is nonsense. Will Howard had 100 less yards, 2 less TD’s, same number of ints, and a far better QB rating of 89.6 vs Shadeurs’s 75.5. Howard played against far better competition and won the friggin national championship. He didn’t even get drafted. Stop making this more than it is, Team Deion had a magnificent media campaign and built up Shedeur to more than he is, but NFL scouts were not convinced. Period.

IMO, I don’t believe the primary reason so many passed him is entitlement. Not at all. Is the premise that underneath all the media hype, he is not considered that good by most real evaluators. Average to below average talent, timing, body language, field awareness, sacks, accountability for mistakes, with not enough upside to accept all the baggage that comes with him.

Yeah but Howard had a team full of 1st round picks lol

he’s a simple game manager, drafted appropriately

this will be fascinating to watch. I totally get the circus issues but this never struck me like Lonzo Ball's dad-level circus.

And I could imagine slipping in the draft would be a huge serving of humble pie.

if he pans out that will be a bigger story than The Slide (TM)
