Really would it be worth it? Beauregard could, but then he'd have to get used to having angry crowds outside his house, bad media coverage and generally a lot of noise and supposition. He's a politician and is very PR aware. He'll become as reviled as Trump if he goes down that road. He could just say Fuck you, but in the end who's the one that's gonna get fucked?

An AG that wasn't forthcoming about his activities under oath is gonna have a hard time establishing credibility. If the Chief LEO of the Nation has a credibility problem, Huuuuge problem yes?

No. 1) Scalia votes to put Bush in the White House despite being longtime hunting buddies with Dick "Dick" Cheney. Get over it. Quack, quack.

    B) Republican controlled senate refuses to consider the nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court. Because we can and there is nothing you can do about it.

    https://www.thenation.com/article/jeff-sessions-is-a-disgrace-to-the-justice-department/

"This is not the first time Sessions has lied to Congress. In his Senate questionnaire for attorney general, he claimed he “personally” handled important civil-rights cases while US Attorney in Alabama, even though lawyers in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said he did no work on the cases beyond putting his name on the briefs.

He never should have been confirmed as attorney general. Sessions was blocked as a federal judge in 1986 for a history of discriminatory actions and views—including wrongfully prosecuting civil-rights workers for voter fraud—and there’s no evidence Sessions has changed since then.

In a must-read story for The New York Times Magazine, Emily Bazelon writes about how the Trump administration plans to use Sessions’s Justice Department “advance its nationalist plans”—which includes suppressing votes, terrorizing immigrant communities, ignoring police misconduct, and launching a new war on drugs."

The Constitution says it's the Senate's duty to accept or reject a SCOTUS nominee. Obama could've played hardball and threatened to force Garland onto the court if the Senate wouldn't vote to reject him. But he figured it wasn't worth it because he expected Hillary to win.

Obama could have chosen to make Garland a recess appointment to the court. Then we'd have had a functional Supreme Court for the last year.

He should have done that. When history looks back at Obama it will say that he was naive about how the political process works when he entered the Presidency and that he wasn't ruthless enough to overcome that later on. The recess appointment was a no-brainer as soon as the GOP Senators who controlled the process made it clear there would be no hearings for a year until after the election. Obama should have just smiled and waited for an unguarded moment and seated Merrick until the term expired.

Just a small reminder... "Do you swear to tell the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH, and NOTHING but the TRUTH SO HELP YOU GOD?" Means exactly that. Lying under oath is a serious issue, not an alternative fact. So if you choose to make excuses for Trump or his surrogates lying under oath, be my guest.

This ain't going away and neither is The Left. We can keep this up for the next 47 months and beyond. We are not imtimidated by the GOP anymore. Too much smoke not to be a fire burning somewhere and we'll keep digging until we find it... Soooo, Suppose we on the left say: "Go fuck yourselves" in response. Nothing the GOP can do but run and hide from their own constituents like the cowards they are. They get the guts to show up at a town hall? We'll be there waiting with hard questions. It appears they're more afraid of Trump than their own constituents. Sad...

If its a fight you want you're gonna get one. Snowflakes become Snowstorms which sometimes causes Avalanches. and there are at least 65.8million snowflakes out there and our numbers are increasing with every scandal.

Looking like the US can use a "2-State" solution as much as Israel. This is the new normal in Amerika.

As long as his party controls the congress, they can get away with whatever they want.

They can try... They may even get away with it but there will come a tipping point. Most likely self inflicted.

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat...used_a_personal_email_for_state_business.html

As Governor, Mike Pence Used a Personal Email Account for Official State Business. Seriously.

"If you’re standing up, please sit down. There’s no easy way to tell you this—your Mom and Dad still
love you very much—but Mike Pence used a private email account to conduct official state business,
sometimes on sensitive matters, when he was the governor of Indiana. Who cares? Well, exactly. Other
than Gov. Mike Pence is now Vice President Mike Pence, in part, because of his incessant baying about
Hillary Clinton using a private email address! Lock him up? Ahem."

'While most new presidents enjoy a media honeymoon, the tone of Trump's coverage was nearly as hostile (88% negative) as we found during last year's presidential campaign (91% negative),' the study found.

Where there is bias, there is fake news. Don't be a sheep. Hop aboard friend choooooooo! choooooo!
