Don't think there's precedent, but I think it would be because he is profitting from the government and he is president. It looks highly unethical and as an abuse of power

There's already concern out there because he did not appoint an independent 3rd party to run his business while he is POTUS, since that was the precedent set before him.

Precedent went out the window a long time ago however

Dunno, but I'm purty good at words and seeing odd stuff. Ron Pi = Prion. Anyway, keep trying, Prince Valiant. You mean well.

I hate hippies, yippies, commies and pinkos. Damn, that felt great.

I've no doubt he could possibly do something but Ron said to impeach him now so I was wondering what crime he could have committed.

Too many crimes against humanity to count obviously. Going to have to turn him in to the Hague and have him tried there.

you don't have to commit a crime to be impeached.

I'm not saying they should start the process today, lord knows as big an idiot Trump is he will probably do something eventually that will make it MUCH easier, but keep a close eye on his business relations going forward....

It is against the constitution for the President to make private money off of foreign governments OR the U.S. government while in office, something he is riding the fine line with. It is also an impeachment level violation if the President uses nonpublic information gained in his position for private profit interests... which anyone can see him easily botching that one

Problem BN, is that Trump has an complicit Senate and HoR to shield and protect him.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors."

Anyway my point was that Ron being the type of overexcited dramatist that we have seen emerge after Trump won, said "Impeachment is long overdue". I questioned what could currently be used to impeach him, not what he might do.

I also think the emoluments clause would currently be a far reach, he already owned the properties and already had the loans from China. Like I said, maybe in the future.

Where do you propose they go? Who will be left to pay for the gap in services? What should the government's role be in public health? Let's see what ya got

I guess you realized your original post was ridiculous, how a program that costs the taxpayers $235M a year would save taxpayers $17 Billion a year would have been a good fairy tale.
As I already stated, other providers that did over 600,000 abortions last year could provide the services needed. And how about a little personal responsibility, why should taxpayers be on the hook because so many don't want to take advantage of easily available birth control. I would have no problem with the fed. providing birth control for free, repeat abortions, which is probably about half of the abortions done by P.P., yes I have a problem with tax dollars paying for that.

birth control is easily available because of women's health organizations like Planned Parenthood. So your argument kinda makes no sense there. PP is our largest provider of sexual education and services. Contraception is their mission

My argument makes perfect sense, I have said numerous times that I am not against some government funding for things like birth control. Numerous abortions for the same person that fails to take advantage of birth control, I am against government funding for that.

Because I have no problem with government funding for birth control am I somehow saying I am also ok with gov. funding of plastic surgery, invitro., etc.?

Because you want the government to defund PP completely. That's what makes no sense to me. If you don't like abortion, cool, same here, I don't think anyone likes abortion. But PP is the premier organization we have at preventing abortion. You should be advocating MORE funding for PP if avoiding abortion is your mission

A few weeks ago, Trump got his hand slapped because he made a sales pitch for LL Bean because of the support he got from one of their board members.

Today, Kellyanne Conway goes on Fox and closes the conversation with "go buy Ivanka's stuff... I'm gonna get some myself today." Yes, they got into talking about Ivanka's biz, but it was still an obvious plug calling it herself a "free commercial."

    https://www.yahoo.com/style/kellyan...ricans-to-go-buy-ivankas-stuff-153018840.html

It's just this little crap everyday.. From the mistaken locations of terrorists attacks, "alternative facts," every negative piece is fake... That makes this presidency embarrassing.

I am pretty sure everyone in this forum has had a president that did not hold the same values, but I haven't seen this type of lunacy in my lifetime.

Please don't take anything nyjetsmets says at face value, I never said I wanted to "defund P.P. completely".
Below is what I said that he tried to turn into me saying I wanted to cut funding to P.P. so other places could thrive. It was actually my response to someone who claimed cutting the funding was anti-human rights.

How about this, if they go in for their second abortion they can get it done if they agree to a tubal ligation?

Impeachment, people are desperately grasping at straws. Whoever isn't a shyster in Rome - I mean, D.C. - put your hand up. The Clinton impeachment over a blowjob will go down as the dumbest waste of tax-payer money ever, and now we have to hear about conflicts of interest, money, taxes, blah blah. What I want is for Trump to dismantle the IRS and throw Lois Lerner in the clink. He should make that the first thing on his list. Trump is awful, but he's our Trump. He doesn't have an epic body count yet, but we'll see how it goes.

Trump will probably be worse than Andrew Johnson in the end, but Trump only appears to give drunken speeches rather than actually being drunk. I just think it's great, comedic drama in a horrible world in front of an irreparably damaged nation. He's such a detestable blowhard, and I needed to laugh. I mean, a guy named Donald who names their kid Barron? I'm the Baroness of all I survey, but that's just damn good theatre. What is Woody Johnson gonna do from Londinium, anyway? Give advice on the directive to bomb The New Dump? He's gotta a lot on his plate, and that's what I call a true conflict of interest.

I'd probably be stoned to death by my girlfriends in a grand stroke of irony if they questioned me 30 yrs. out of college. Racism, sexism, every other kind of ism ain't never gonna be solved because people will always be the same soulless, rampaging, pillaging animals that they've always been. Evolution stopped at murder, rape and stealing other people's shit. Man, that goes back probably since, uh, people.

I figured out that I could still be a feminist and pull the best joke vote of my life next to Ross Perot. Filling out my ballot was like voting for Mo, Curly, Shemp or Larry, especially locally. Greasy palms, it really doesn't make one shit difference. It's just as prevalent as its always been, only now people don't have to really stump as hard. Robo calling is the worst.

In all seriousness, I love my country as much as I love breathing. You hope for the best - but hope is for fools.
