O’Reilly told Trump that Putin is a killer. Trump’s reply: ‘You think our country is so innocent?’ WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — President Trump has long been effusive in his praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite criticism from Republicans and Democrats alike. In an interview with Fox News's Bill O'Reilly, which will air ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday, Trump doubled down on his “respect” for Putin — even in the face of accusations that Putin and his associates have murdered journalists and dissidents in Russia. “I do respect him. Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them,” Trump told O'Reilly. O'Reilly pressed on, declaring to the president that “Putin is a killer.” Unfazed, Trump didn't back away, but rather compared Putin's reputation for extrajudicial killings with the United States'. “There are a lot of killers. We have a lot of killers,” Trump said. “Well, you think our country is so innocent?” Trump added that he thinks the United States is “better” getting along with Russia than not. “If Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight, and Islamic terrorism all around the world, major fight. That’s a good thing,” Trump said. ISIS is another name for the Islamic State. It wouldn't be the first time Trump has brushed aside the topic of Putin's political killings. In a 2015 interview on “Morning Joe,” Trump was pressed on the same issue and gave a similar answer. “He kills journalists that don't agree with him,” the show's host, Joe Scarborough, pointed out. “Well, I think that our country does plenty of killing, too, Joe,” Trump said. As recently as this week, a prominent Putin critic exhibited symptoms of poisoning for the second time since 2015. The incident drew the attention of Republican Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), a staunch Russia critic, who tweetedtwo newspaper editorials that call for the United States to denounce the incident as an act of political retribution. He called both editorials “a must-read.” http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...nocent’/ar-AAmCCVG?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp
He killed Osama Bin Hidin and nobody wanted to give him credit for that either. BTW, your "Barry the Clown" comment is perhaps the biggest reason why we on the left will make that orange tinged idiot's life a living hell over the next 4 years and beyond if necessary. Disrespected Obama for 8 years? Now Twitler will get the same treatment. We'll leave Melania out of it only because she looks miserable in almost every non-staged photo op anyway. Considering the respect Michelle Obama got, we're really being generous. Enjoy the show! #paybackisabitch
Then there was Hillary's "We came, we saw, we killed him" comment, which she laughed after saying. It's all in which party you back to what will irk you.
shouldn't be a show though. there was no excuse for losing to him and now what you call payback looks like sore losing to anyone not firmly on the left C. so this isn't endearing itself to prospective voters looking to slide to the left and away from trump.
Those people who may be having "voter's remorse" won't have to point to the protests for rationale. Trump will do that all on his own. All we on the left have to do is make sure that "alternative facts" don't muddy the waters. Trumps twin ministers of misinformation have to be called out every time they purposely lie. We will amplify everything misstep he takes just to make sure Bannon and Alex Jones aren't the only source of information. Trump and his team has elevated "gaslighting" to an artform. Its up to The Left to make sure the facts are indeed, the facts. Its up to those prospective voters to decide for themselves what it is they want to do. Trump is well on his way to Nixonville. All we got to do really is just watch and report. If his inexperience in the innerworkings of government isn't enough to sink him, his extreme narcissism will. He'll tweet something or say something that will cause a real uproar beyond our borders and put our soldiers and perhaps our foreign based civilians in peril. If protesting keeps the heat on Twitler, so be it. DAPL, Muslim ban, and future issues (Medicare/SS) are all things that Trump will face tremendous opposition to in the form of street protests. If Twitter is ok for Trump to use to reach the public, so is protesting. Maybe Conservatives should consider taking Twitler's phone away first. "What do you have to lose??"
maybe it breaks that way, but,if the economy gets better, stock market goes up,wages increase and more people start working it will backfire. money starts flowing people tend to forget what they are pissed about. should be an interesting 4 years. i'm hoping this is what gives rise to a third party myself. and right now looks like both sides are doing what they can to help that out
"I call my own shots"...... sounds like the words of a wise leader to me. failure is filled with lots of people who said "I did it MY way".. Success is usually filled with people who say the opposite
I knew we were stupid for being Jets fans, but on top of that, many of you believe the shit Spicer and Conway say? Millions voted for Trump, but then again NASCAR is still the most popular sport in this country.
