Absolutely! Trump stuck his nose in where it didn't belong and Moore who was already a marginal candidate, paid the price for it. That campaign rally in Pensacola was a transparent attempt by Trump to campaign for Moore without going into Alabama to do it. That little maneuver fooled nobody. Trump himself is a well known misogynist no matter his denials and to back a child molester was a double down on his tremendous EGO. NSN, Trump is killing the GOP with his huge EGO and refusal to listen to anyone but himself. Too bad that at 70, he's not changing. Trump is who he is and the GOP will pay the price for it down the road.

Jones win was certainly a statement against Trump. While Moore was a horrible candidate Trump motivated resistance, motivated women, motivated minorities, motivated students and motivated people with 3 digit IQ's.

Exit polls showed that 48 percent of voters disapproved of Trump. 41 percent strongly. In a state he won by 25 percent a year ago. If Trump was running yesterday Alabama would have been a toss up state against any Democrat.

Yesterday was a repudiation of Trump and Trumpism. A statement against his ignorance, lies, incompetence, ego and hate. Without Trump Moore could have raped half the state and still won by 10 points.

We are a year away from 2018 which is a lifetime in politics but 2018 is loooking to be a tidal wave for Democrats all because of Trump's amazing incompetence.

Anyone that thinks this is an indictment on Trump is truly delusional. Jones will lose to a reasonable R candidate in 2018.

I mean Moore was a radical candidate without all the accusations. Have you read about this guy? It's Alabama. 2018 will be an R, regardless of anything Trump does.

He's not up for re-election until 2020, where he will either lose or become a Republican like Shelby. But by then the dems will control the Senate so it'll be a null point.

good, hopefully the republican party feels the same way you do and continues to have Trump & Bannon stump for candidates around the country. Alabama was a tough victory, there will be way easier battles against those two idiots.

According to you, and many others this guy is a child molester. He may be - pretty serious accusation.

Do you think Trump should have been able to lift that cloud from over him? I'm having trouble processing your logic.

Trump shouldn't have been able to lift the cloud over him. He shouldn't have supported him either. But he did and people rejected it

I think it was stupid for him to support him. I can't think of anyone who could have lifted the cloud over his head by supporting him, can you? I'm guessing no.

The point is, it was an impossible task, yet you and others want to claim this is an indictment on Trump. It's not. At all.

One of the really nice things about Jones winning is it further confirms that Trump is toxic and that the end is near. It will be harder for Republicans to continue their strategy of discrediting Mueller. When the indictments hit the Trump Crime Family and Kushner, Jr. and the psychotic infant get charged I am sure they will all think only of saving themselves and jumping ship. Armageddon appears to be coming for these soulless republicans and it's every rat for themselves.

Why are you so fucking blind?

Black women voted solidly with Jones. White women voted pretty solidly with Moore. I believe they mentioned 12 million young voters of color will be eligible to cast their ballot in the next general election. They won't be voting Trump....

I don't have the numbers but I suspect the results have more to do with democrats coming out to vote and republicans staying home, rather than the color of peoples skin.
