Everyone needs to understand JV is playing a role here, being the Trump lover in a thread of Trump haters, and he is embracing it... So lets not dislike him too much .
I think it was the right move. Assad crossed the chemical line in the past without direct repercussions, and this new administration had announced a hands off Syria policy, so he felt emboldened......That had to be changed, as these atrocities cannot continue. I also like how it was handled, without provoking Russia, and without civilian casualties. However, while being the correct move, it was more symbolic than anything. ie, it didn't accomplish much other than sending a message. What comes next? Will we overthrow Assad as we should? What will take his place? How will we manage Russia in the process? Will this affect the ISIS approach in any way? Will any of these solutions finally provide the Kurds a nation of their own? These tough questions will have to involve Congress, the UN, other middle eastern nations, and diplomacy with Russia. I have no faith in Trump properly leading that. The cynic in me feels this was just an easy hit to change the subject and boost 'ratings', without any long term vision. I just hope he lets the adults in the room guide the way forward.
Actually, its called governing by consensus. But to a Obama hater, nothing he ever did was right soooo, he "passed the buck".. I guess he played too much golf too and lets not even get into those pesky Executive Orders..
I don't hate Obama I like the guy, I think he did his job and did it well for the 2008 recovery and for getting Bin Laden. He just wasn't much of a leader and was definitely passive on too many things, afraid to take a position and just towing the middle line instead
So, now that Trump has proven he's tough, what happens when the first American plane gets shot down by a Syrian AA missile battery? Full scale war? Even worse, what happens if Putin green lights his air force to prevent US air strikes or hits American ground positions "by mistake"...?

Their economy took a big hit from the embargo after Crimea. Russian people are feeling this economical crisis in depth. Russia didn't have the money to modernize their army. USA can demolish Russia in Mediterrenean and Syria. USA knows this, Russia knows this, China knows this. What Russia is trying to do is to save face. I dare them to shot down a US airplane. That will be the end of Russia as we know it. PS: All I want from this is a Free Kurdistan in Iraq and Syria. Israel has been the biggest supporter for Kurdish people in Middle East. Barack the disgrace blocked Israeli plans in Middle East for free Kurdistan. But Trump is in agreement with Israel. Until then, Trump has my full support.
