    Finally finished this one.

I certainly don’t like her lol. She’s pretty self absorbed.

But I’m 65-70% convinced she didn’t do it. That skull fracture…. Consistent with blunt force.

He would have to be crouching over for the perfect hit. Also, she would have to get a good running start in that weather to make such a hit and pretty much run him down.

Sounds like a corrupt cover up to me.

See thats crazy! We are not done with it all so still time i guess for mine to change but I came away with almost the opposite feelings.

    1) karen is a bad bitch, but I like her. Maybe its just because I think shes super hot

    2) I think she totally ran him over. Maybe not "2nd degree murder", more like a drunken accident, but yeah I don't believe there's some elaborate cover up, and dont understand why her attorneys are going to that extreme. Why would a cop kill another cop and then toss him in his own front yard?

If the question was changed just slightly to "Why would a drunk kill another drunk" would that change much?

It honestly was hard for me to come up with a motive other than the atf agent/ Karen budding relationship and maybe a fight in the house, or maybe something job related . I found it weird that she waited in the car while he went in. You would think that you pull up, get out of the car together.
I can only think that her personality made it easy for them to decide to try and pin it on her.

I think the retrial starts today. I wouldn’t be suprised at all if my opinion changes. I just have a hard time , with how she could have caused a skull fracture , with no other damage points on the body. Tail light would be at belly level. Falling in the snow won’t cause it , and it would be hard to accelerate enough in that space in those conditions(backing out of driveway).

Also, things like googling “hos long to die in the cold”. Lady claimed she did it during the frantic discovery…. I don’t think anyone was googling with their frozen wet fingers while the cops are picking up the body. It happened at 245am.

Not sure who far you’re in, but there’s a few more things but I don’t want to put up spoilers .

Looking forward to starting gone girls (li serial killer). I’m sure it will mostly be about Huermann . But I think there were multiple things going on out there, and the arrest has taken the heat off the oak island happenings(Shannan Gilbert , chief Burke etc).

Couples? What about friends? Enemies? Strangers? Coworkers? Acquaintances? You really think because cops were involved something is different?

In general which do you think is more likely

a couple, with a relationship on the rocks, drink too much, argue, and someone gets killed in a car accident. during a blizzard mind you

    or

cops friends with a cordial relationship, drink too much, beat the hell out of their friend for some reason. Then they leave him in their own front yard to die and stage an elaborate coverup

It's been quite a while since I learned about details of the case; I don't recall the victim being friends or having a cordial relationship with all the others involved, especially the homeowner and another man who may or may not have had an inappropriate interaction with the accused.

Certainly not enough decisive information here to voice an opinion on your ultimatum. Probably why this was not decided already. I don't understand, however, what the profession of anyone involved has to do with their ability to get drunk and stupid. On the other hand, someone with certain life experiences may find it easier to "stage an elaborate coverup" than the average person.

You can answer the question, that was plenty enough information.

The answer is that a car accident in a blizzard is far more likely

Also, I would describe friends making plans to meet at a bar and come over to their homes later as a cordial relationship at the very least. Especially since we have no evidence to suggest they were angry or upset at each other

That might be enough information for you to decide; that doesn't mean there's enough information fresh in my mind for me to. We're not playing the "odds are" game here, we're opining on a specific case with a specific set of circumstances regardless of what any individual thinks is "more likely" - it is a unique case.

This was not a poker club that met weekly with the same cast of characters; from what I remember some of the people involved had first met that night and were in the "friends of friends" category rather than close buddies and there was definitely friction between some of the players.

I do believe that if this happened in my backyard and I knew most of those involved, I'd have a very strong opinion already formed regardless of what was being reported, on or off the record.

Not sure if you have finished the doc yet, so I don’t want to give anything away from near the end…. But I think I remember something about when he and Karen walked into the 2nd bar, and the reaction from the atf guy.

It really is such a - left up to the imagination- type case. Unless something ground breaking comes up this time around , I can see a mistrial again.

ah ok. I’m not here to change your mind, I don’t really care. If you wanna believe some wacky scheme that’s cool.

I hope she gets off cause she’s so hot, I’d love to get coffee with her sometime anyway

I finished it. Yeah I don’t really see the big deal about that ATF agent

Her attorneys are good though and the police definitely bungled a lot. She probably should be let go, it’s just my opinion that she did it

A couple of random ones that I thoroughly enjoyed:

    and this 4-part mini-series:

Neither trailer really does them justice... the Stray trailer leaves out the whole Syrian refugee kids plotline, and the Super League trailer doesn't capture the globetrotting intrigue and personalities, the English fans protesting in the streets, the Qatari plot twist, the cool animations... it's really fun.

I imagine it’s gonna be hard to find an impartial jury for the retrial. I wonder if it mistrials again, is it over?
