Brady and Belichick both won well-deserved MVP's/Coach of the Year awards last year because everyone thought they were doing it with mirrors. Which unfortunately cracked in the playoffs. I don't think the Patriots are as bad as they looked this week but then I also feel the Giants are way overrated too. If the Pats lose this week, I'll be re-calculating for sure. Playoffs are another issue. I'm not sure the Patriots are a good playoff team anymore. Not until the defense can man up against the better teams.
Matt Cassel had a good defense to win his 11 games but Belichik is too good of a coach to lose 14 games. If Brady is gone since week 1 I think they manage to win 6 games atleast.
Patriots lose Bills lose Raiders lose Chargers lose Chiefs lose Titans lose Doesn't hurt if BAL or PIT loses but maybe if BAL wins, they can win the division and not hold that valuable tiebreaker vs NYJ Regardless, what an insane day for Jets and Bengal fans.
Nah, if they did that, they'd still be #1 in the Suck For Luck competition. Sometimes the long-term is more important than short-term
I would be happy if the Fins won about 3 or 4 games this year. The last thing I want is for them to get a franchise QB.
Having lived through the 70's I would have been happiest if the Fins went 0-15-1 this year and then 0-480 or so for the rest of my life. I'll be annoyed if they get Luck but I'll look brightly at the prospect he might bust and really grind the Fins fans down.
no way do you want the fins getting the #1 pick. i don't get how 2-3 meaningless wins can be more impactful than another potential decade of irrelevance
I'll quote my own message to re-affirm my feeling on the Giants-Patriots game. The Giants played like crap imo but the Patriots didn't play much better. Considering the Jets ARE playing better and the Patriots are clearly in a big rut, next week could be very, very ugly.
