Win out and we get a first round bye, its THAT simple.

Or to put it simply if we win out our division, we can match the Pats win for win from there on out and we get our bye.

Hell if the Se-men actually beat the Pats next week thatll put us in such a tremendous situation (albeit the Pats rarely lose back to back games )

Funny how the Jets were dead last week.

I don't know if that's all too desirable.

It is better than that horrid 3 game road trip without Mangold mostly...

Well maybe if we accompany being favored by planning a scandal every week we will win every game. Scandals tend to make this team play their best.

Teams are playing pretty bad after Byes. That worries me. Even the Patriots today.

Yeah, if we come out stagnant I will be really disappointed. I have no idea how a team led by Rex Ryan comes out flat sometimes. Defies logic.

If the Jets win out at this point they win the division and at 13-3 are dependent on the Ravens, Steelers. Chargers and Raiders to get a bye. The Ravens or Steelers and Chargers could win out (Ravens lose to the Chargers) at 13-3 (Ravens) or 14-2 (Steelers/Chargers) and take one bye each. The Ravens and Raiders could win out at 13-3 or better and take a bye each.

Don't get so far ahead. The Pats for first place is far enough.

I was just answering the question as to whether or not the Jets are in the driver's seat at this point and for the division it turns out they are. For the bye not so much.

before this week, look at the TEAMS that have played after the bye.

people throw out the 3-9 record after byes, but almost every single one was part of the dregs of the league

God, I hate being in the position of rooting for the Giants, but I really don't have a choice next week. That's why it really pisses me off that the Dolphins blew it today.

Its just nice for us that were playing the Pats a week after they play the Giants. While that Giant dline is full of a bunch of overrated pansies, they could at least hopefully rough up Brady boy before he comes to visit us.

The Se-Men have knocked a few qbs out already this year after all.
