Anyone that thinks we were as good as our 8-8 record is insane; we won like 3 games on personal foul calls. And there's not a pigs chance in the slaughterhouse we win more than 5 this year with our quarterback, the offense around him, secondary and schedule

yeah thats why I think it's kind of pathetic to blame the refs for these last two games. We were gifted a couple games last year, big time. There's no bias against certain teams these refs just suck all around

why are we in win now mode? we can get brees or brady and we still won't even make it to the playoffs. i'd like to give amaro/decker more time with this team and give geno one more year, i can see he's still making the same mistakes, but his overall improvements, these games are the types where players learn and we just got away with 2 close games last year that should've ended up like this one

.... We're playing Denver in the AFCCG this year if we have Brees or Brady.

I don't really disagree with your general point at all. Part of the problem though is it doesn't suit Rex - or the fans that like Rex - for them to have another rebuilding season and try to sell the fans on bringing Rex back after four straight non-winning seasons.

Just because you continue to play start someone that doesn't mean they are a quality starter. Winters and Bohannon are probably better depth players than they are starters. I fear Winters future as an at least serviceable starter may be at center but Mangold is not looking to hang up his cleats anytime soon.

what he did, early on as a rookie in a mess of an offense should not be held against him. he has made enormous strides every week of his career. he has been penalty free this season thus far i believe, and has certainly not been a turnstyle this year. has he been beat? yea a couple times. but for the most part he has been really solid. the thought that he is a liability is pass protect is 100% based off of perception on his early struggles on not on his recent play.

    Winters is a keeper.

Winters i a left gaurd, and a good one. if he stays healthy he has a nice 10+ year career waiting for him as a starter, likely for us.

Bohannon isnt gonna start because teams dont start H-Backs/Fullbacks. but he is going to be a good depth guy who helps your team, and in round 5-7 you arent looking for much more then that

  12. He was caca in the 1st half...I was actually calling for Aboushi at the half. But give credit where it is due..I thought he played a very good 2nd half..quite possibly his best as a Jet.

Young OL have peaks & valleys. Think back to a young Brick. There were games in years 1 & 2 where he looked like a UDFA out there..not a top 5 pick. But there were always moments of promise..and then 1 day the light went on.

I view Winters as much of the same. I don't think he has the ceiling Brick does..but I think he'll develop into a solid commodity. Unfortunately he's on the interior where mistakes are further magnified.
