I think it's time to start playing the 4-3 more and limiting the LB exposure. Move Bart to the outside and get Domorrio Davis some PT. DE - Coples DT - DeVito NT - Pouha DE - Wilkerson SAM - Scott MIKE - Harris WILL - Davis
Lack of depth on this team is a serious problem. I think Scott can play the outside -- at least better than Pace.
I'd put Kenrick Ellis on the nose and have Harris play weakside. I'd put Davis right in the middle. Of those 3 he's the only guy that has the legs to play there. Also the Jets really should have Coples inside next to the nose. That's where he belongs. Whether you put Pace or Devito at RE is up to you but Devito doesn't get any pressure on the passer at all. This Jets defense is not only constructed poorly at the moment in terms of talent but they're playing people out of position all over the place in the front 7.
Yeah finally U may begin to understand that RR is all bluster & no substance just like his dad. You cannot get better when U are old & slow & it is time for everybody to realize that (see Scott/Pace/Thomas as examples) Also one of these days maybe 20 years from now it will finally get thru RR stubborn head that with out a PR to frighten the other sides QB we are just going round & round going nowhere
Frank Gore had 62 yards yesterday, ypc was at a season low for him and his attempts were highest. The run defense is not that terrible, Rex is making them play better than they are.
Unfortunately for us he didn't have all the carries, they had 245 yards rushing which is a disgrace...
So if Rex was having a bad year coaching the defense the 245 yards the 49ers rushed for would have been 325 instead? Really?
Once again the D wasn't dominant but KEPT US IN THE GAME. The offense has to support the defense more, by getting more than 0 points. Yes, the run D has been leaky, but that's NOT the biggest problem with this team.
Look where the Jets have made investments in the draft recently. The defense is the biggest problem because when you invest the way the Jets have the defense had better be topnotch. This defense hasn't been really good in 2 years now. The numbers last year looked a lot better than the team actually played when it kept giving up long scoring drives at bad times.
Although they looked much better in teh second half, I think it was some fairly mediocre play by San Fran in the first half that kept the Jets in the game. Other than Cro, the D looked awful from beginning to end, and btw Ellis was hard to distinguish from a pancake out there. He sucked.
When you give up a lead and then not score when you have the chance and then turn the ball over 4 times you are pretty good when you only give up 245 yards..get a fucking QB that can play football and maybe you give up 80 yards instead.
