I read that Pussy Fart Talk article hours ago and did not post the link because I thought we were banned from using that site? Florio is faggot who has been attacking Coleslaw for no apparent reason. Coleslaw owned up to his mistake and did not blame his source. I disliked that site before but now I want to kick that site in its virtual sack.
I mentioned in the second-to-last paragraph that you quoted in my initial post, and also in my response to your post on it. I am all over the map at work right now, so I could have been more thorough in my "in conclusion" paragraph - my bad. I guess I just don't see anyone willing to give both the picks necessary to make a nice deal AND be willing to meet his demands in the same fell swoop, so I view the "nice package of picks" deal as more of a fantasy than a reality and don't really see it as a viable option worth real discussion/consideration at this point.
Florio is a dildo, but this is in the Gary Myers article he linked to: Where did he get these guarantee numbers from? It seems odd that he would have them given the fact that Tanny said he wouldn't discuss them until total compensation was agreed on. Regardless, if they're correct than I've been wrong the entire time about the hold up. If they are true, I imagine the contract would be similarly structured to Mangold's which essentially gives him the skill guarantee on the assumption that the Jets can't cut him without a huge cap hit. Me thinks Mangold need to talk to Revis if this is in fact the case. Hell, he needs to talk to him anyway. Someone hit up Mangod on twitter.
The Darrelle Revis Holdout Thread (Update: Nothing yet) His demands and his reasons for those demands won't be as high next season, which is also a fact I'm sure his team is aware of.
It's funny, I think 99.9% of people in this thread are actually in agreement on this situation, they're just too busy bickering semantics.
It makes no sense to trade him unless somebody is offering equivalent talent. Nobody is offering equivalent talent. Hence he shouldn't be traded. He can choose to sit out as long as he likes. People assume that the Jets would just bend over and trade him for less than he is worth. I think not. This could be a very teachable moment. Revis can choose not to play for the Jets and the Jets can choose not to trade him such that he can't play for anybody else in the NFL. It should be interesting to see how it works out.
no, it is purely emotional. and if your only attempt to counter that is a scenario that is not only fictional but has no logical basis in reality, such as the only thing that would be offered in return for the best DB in the league would be a 4th round pick, you only further prove that because you aren't interested in creating a logical argument, only emotional ones.
I hope Revis breaks a bone and never sees the light of day on an NFL field again, And he can just sit their in his room thinking about what could have been but didnt cuz greed got to him.
You're right, I've been poorly thought out and illogical in all my posts. I stand down in the face of such impressive reading comprehension.
Every day that goes by I am less optimistic a deal will be reached. Why isn't the team actively looking at alternatives to improve the secondary?
Talking about trading Revis at this point is like seeing a hot chick in a porno mag and talking about where you plan to bang her......lots of unlikely events need to happen first.
