Gary Bettman would void the contract.

    Welcome to Hard Knocks!
Revis has been a real ass with this contract , his rookie deal was excellent and to expect $16 million is crazy. Let him hold out til Sept 9th if he wants , give the pre season playing time to Wilson and Cromartie.

So, if he becomes "officially a no-show" this evening what is the impact on his contract?

    Revis Doesn't Report To Camp

Failed to show up today. Well, here we go. If he holds out his current contract get another year added. Plus he will be fined 16,000 a day.

Revis actually came in and played really well as a rookie after holding out, which to me was amazing, you almost never see that. That was the first sign he was going to be an outstanding player. It's not the end of the world if he holds out. I have to think Tannenbaum is savvy enough to use the uncapped year to at least get this guy in for the season eventually.

Ego is getting bigger than the team which is always a worry . Guy is a potential one in a thousand talent but suddenly he has gotten an ego bigger than Neon Deion!

He's the best CB in the league and he is only making $1million next season. He's acting appropriately.

Disagree , they have offered him a decent deal like the did with Ferguson. Jets are restricted in a way by the CBA and understandably don't want to pay a $30-40 million signing bonus to get Revis the money he wants

Whta he wants is a ridiculous amount to boost his ego even more!

He isn't after an increase he wants a stupid amount of money because one insane old man paid a ridiculous contract

Does anyone even know for sure what he's been offered? I thought it was all speculation.

I agree to an extent. His team has to realize how absolutely ridiculous and out of line Asomugha's contract was. He doesn't deserve more than that, especially when he can be held under contract for 3 more seasons. I think the offers the Jets have reportedly been giving are more than fair.

"Darrelle Revis was not at the Jets' facility Sunday for his physical and conditioning run, a source tells the Newark Star-Ledger.
This is not really a surprise as Revis has already hinted that he's unlikely to play under his current $1 million contract. The two sides are reportedly talking about a new deal that would pay Revis $30 million over the next three seasons, so the "Hard Knocks" cameras may not have a story to follow here for too long.Revis is now subject to $16,000 per day fines for missing camp, although he won't be considered a holdout until 5:30 p.m. EST today."

Rumours are it was around $12 million a year with no guaranteed cash like Fergusons , its was guaranteed against skill only . Ferguson took out an insurance policy himself to ensure he is covered if he gets injurd and cannot meet the skill criteria . If he makes it through 2011 he gets some great escalators that will pay him a shitload.

What Revis wants is plain greed.

$30 million would be absolutely fair and a fantastic deal. He's scheduled to average that for the next two seasons, so the bump for this season would certainly be in line. If I were him, I'd take that and keep the guarantees for the next two seasons. That also doesn't prohibit a slight bump even further next year.

If he does take the deal, it likely calls into question the "$12 million per" reports about the Jets' offer.

We don't even know for sure if Revis knows what's been offered.
