Not a whole lot of names on there that jump out at you.... Extremely surprised to see the Pats cut Walter... at the present time UDFA Brian Hoyer is their #2. Of all those guys I think Ronald Curry, Joe Klopfenstein, Damon Huard and Garrett Mills should find homes rather quickly.
i can't imagine that he will stay. I believe he have 11 DB's we won't need to carry that many so when Pace/Ellis return thats the area we can easily drop a player or two...
I agree, he reminds of Otis Smith in his later years he could run stride for stride with a WR but could never defend a pass. Plus Coleman always seems to lose control and fall when trying to make tackles.
I dont disagree, I think he's terrible as I said. However, he was real good in practice up at Cortland.
Wink, wink. Maybe he's a keeper and it's minor and this way they don't have to risk losing him on waivers to put him on the PT.
I'd also expect TE Alex Smith to find a spot quickly. Apparently he couldn't pick up the Pats system, but I'm sure he'd be an upgrade for some team.
In no particular order, here are the guys I thinkn the Jets should take a close look at: Jason Shirley DT Marcus Freeman LB Robert Ferguson WR Tony Pashos T Marlon McCree S Ashley Lelie WR Bear Pascoe TE Antonio Pittman RB Ronald Curry WR Leonard Pope TE Trevor Canfield G Andrew Walter QB
I think Bear Pascoe is done. The foot surgery he had in the off-season before the draft really hurt his game. He's still a hell of a blocker, but his speed, or lack there of, is the reason he didn't make the Niners. Someone will pick him up and put him on their practice squad. I stand by what I said about Pascoe before the draft - best blocking tight end in the country, but that surgery took a lot out of him. (...same injury as Mike Crabtree by the way)
He limped off the field after his last return against the Eagles. I don't think it got any attention because the guy that tackled him was also injured and they had an injury timeout for that one.
I'm not surprised. That mental patient that tackled him looked like he was trying to take his leg off.
