Kowie.... I've been a Nugent supporter from day 1. But, that PAT B-A-R-E-L-Y cleared the right upright. His second PAT was dead center, but I do think he's in a funk, and I do think that Mangini has almost no confidence in him. I don't either. I think Nugents "issues" did figure into the decision making process. BTW, I called someone an asshole, several times in one post and got a few days off. Calling someone a jerk off, and continuing the rant is right up there with my offense. Consider yourself lucky that Winston didn't lodge a complaint.... or yeah, I think you would have gotten a short vacation too.
I've had several vacations courtesy of the Admins here. The times that happened though, my posts were laced with rage and profanity. To me, jerk off isn't anything nearly as bad as I've posted in the past. If anything, it shows more restraint....lol As far as the man in my sig goes, I have faith in him. PATs aren't always dead center. As long as it goes through, I'm a happy camper. He hasn't looked nearly as bad as he did in Tenn. I think that parts over and done with. If he starts missing the gimmies, then we should worry. That's just one assholes opinion though. :up:
It never occured to me that people on this board go cry to the mods when they get a shot taken at them. What band of brothers rat each other out over a little bar fight?
^The Truth.... I never thought that I got a vacation due to someone complaining. I just figured the mods go into most of the topics, and if they see something they think warrents it, they either warned you, or put you on time out. Never thought that people would complain.....that's just gay.
Having only gotten the big boot once.... I'm not a vet, but I was left with the distinct impression (actually a fact) that the guy I called an asshole had been whining about me repeatedly. Previously, we had only engaged in some heated debates, but certainly nothing that justified going to the mods about. But, that is what he had been doing all along, based on what I was told. Squeaky wheels do get greased. I never went to a mod after those exchanges. He did, and repeatedly, apparently. Age does not necassarilly mean one graduates from babyhood. Whiners.... whine. I did report one guy here.... all I said was how I thought Omar's wholesale selling of white players for latino's (something he actaully admitted to doing in an effort to attract the latin fans) would have never flied if he was getting whites for minorities in an effort to attract white fans.... and someone called me a jackass. Just pissed me off at the time. Actually, it still pisses me off. It was a fact. Omar admitted he was going for the latin fans by signing latin players. I guess I was a jackass for calling him out on that. BTW, it was a Giants fan.... lol! giants fans=turdage. They can keep their head cases like Shockey and Burress. They aint makin the playoffs!
I hate people criticizing the playcall...and here is how i explain it. 1.The Colts have a better QB, better RB, better OL, arguably better WRs but definately more experienced, better TE, better DL, more experienced LBs and secondary. THE COLTS ARE A BETTER TEAM. 2. With number 1 being said, the Jets could not just try and play even football with them because they would get knocked around all game. I wouldnt go for it against the Browns or the Dolphins, but its the Colts. 3. If Mangini didn't have agressive playcalling all game long with the onside kick, the option play then we wouldn't have been in the game in the first place. Hindsight is 20/20. Of Course now you think its a bad call, but at the time it was probably the right thing to do to stick to your guns and call the damn play. Yes, Chad threw the INT, but Chad's NEVER thrown an INT inside the Red Zone. With those odds, and the Colts likely starting at the 1 if we didnt get it, ill go for that all day
