Lots of negative shit (some justifiably with the way this season is playing out) here, but I just wanted to say I LOVE watching the way Ivory plays! He's been one of the few bright spots (and the best from an entertainment perspective) the way he plays full throttle and TRUCKS guys....... imagine if we had the 2009 O-line with him?!?! secondary players trying to tackle him one on one......

My biggest concern for Ivory is his post playing days. The way he runs, he's a prime candidate for PTSD or some other brain damage from the repeated hard collisions.

For his own sake he should retire by the time he hits 29. At least he will hopefully be young enough recover. I never saw him as a long term guy anyway with the way he runs.

It sucks but I have to agree with you. He will probably try to play as long as possible though, but it's nice that we're probably getting his 3 top years as a player. Even if he signs with another team it's doubtful he will produce as well as these 3 years.

It seems like every time we make a "Appreciation Thread" that player ends up shitting the bed for a few weeks, see "Antonio Allen Appreciation Thread"

Were people complaining that we gave up a 4th rounder for Ivory 2 years ago too?

Ivory is a solid runner but he's not long for the NFL. He needs an upgrade complimentary back. A CJ of 5 years ago type. TJ Yeldon would be awesome to target.

Maybe we should make appreciation threads for our upcoming opponents

I think Harvin will take a lot of those complimentary RB snaps, I think we should draft an every down type guy to replace Ivory.

Absolutely. I was thinking this the whole time thursday night because he was running like a total animal. It's exciting to watch from a football perspective but it makes me nervous. Not sure how long his career will be either.

This guy is really fun to watch run. Ivory may be the lone enjoyable aspect of the 2014 Jets offense.

He's borderline top 10 IMO. If I had to guess he will go somewhere between 15-20.

I hope that in my lifetime medical research comes up with a solution to the brain trauma issue, for football players and everyone else. 25 years from now I hope this is a non-issue.

Nice game tonight ND with 27-31 effort. I have mentioned before that ND is known for Academic Excellence and Football Prowes/Coaching. Woody should hire Kelly a College Coach like Philly has. And put Rex as defensive coordinator. Let's then hope Idzik gets us more Vets like Harvin and a Kirk Cousins for some $$$ and picks IMO best solution for SB NOW !!!!! Not in 10 fing more years or when I am 80 lol.

Was a great game. Complete robbery though IMO. I dont know how you call that kind of penalty in that spot.

Cory Robinson is serious weapon though. Gonna make a nice red zone target in the NFL.

Kelly does call a nice game but I get the feeling he's a lot like Rex with his offense. ND doesnt have as much talent on D as they did 2 years ago so it shows a lot more. Pretty bad when your best defensive player is a walk on.

Irish shouldn't drop too far though after this one and with Baylor's loss.
