If that were the asking price I'd give it to him, no hesitation. He's absolutely worth it when you have a guy like Sanchez still developing.

  2. I like James Jones better. Floyd is going to be 30 and can't stay healthy.

Jones is 27 and I think could be a star in the right situation. He consistently beat his man while in GB and was constantly open on deep routes. He can suffer from the dropsies, but so did Braylon before he got here. I think Jones has the talent to eventually be a #1. He's not as big as Floyd but he has made alot of plays in the red zone because he has tremendous body control.

I know many have concerns about losing Braylon's size. But bare in mind that Patrick Turner is entering his 3rd year and I expect big things out of Cumberland this year as a # 2 TE.

I think Jones is the guy.

Definitely on the Floyd bandwagon. I'd still prefer Braylon (as I'm sure all of you probably are), but if getting Floyd opens up some moolah for some other positions, then, even better.

I like Jones, too. Floyd or Jones (if it ain't Braylon), and I'm not upset.

Jones is a Cotchery clone. He's 6'1" and can't make the big catch on the deep route. He's not what we need. If we were looking for a slot guy that could eventually work his way up? Sure. But if he couldn't do it with Rodgers throwing to him, he's not going to do it with Sanchez throwing to him. I'd actually be upset if we went the Jones route over the Floyd or Moss route.

Jones can fly but he can't catch. Floyd has more upside and is more of a true deep threat. He fits what we need considerably better than Jones.

  7. Jones had 50 receptions last season as a # 3. I equate his catching problems to that of Braylon's before he got to NY. How many balls would he catch if he fixes that problem and is on the field more?

You mean he couldn't concentrate for a SB contending team? Braylon's problems were never his hands, he just wasn't focused.

It might upset Revis that he will have to cover a WR who is just too tall in practice.

Considering that floyd was Patrick turner until he was 28 it is possible.

  13. I like Floyd, but I am leaning slightly toward Jones, age being one factor. I know Floyd has a bit more size, but Jones is certainly not a small WR.

Question, have the Jets been tied to Floyd in any way shape or form other than people hoping ?

Most "experts" have put him 3rd on our list after Braylon and Jones. So that would put him at 2 now that Edwards is out.

cotch is a very good #2

id rather go cheaper this year, let kerely/mcknight handle the slot and draft a wideout next year ... also, i think pat turner deserves a shot

    i have to disagree Mick

Floyd is inconsistent and same damn age as cotchery. not to mention he gets banged up easy.

if he was so legit hed have made a name for himself in SD

instead of being the tall guy who has a good fantasy game every 3 games.

if all we care about is a tall body who can take the top off the defense I'll take Randy Moss over him 10 times out of 10

give me the future HOF whose proven he shits on competition with a chip on his shoulder

    over the never has been

see i feel hideous this is how bad the situation is im making a case for moss over floyd

Good but overrated. If the price is fair I'd like to see him here.

i dont see how floyd has more upside... he is older and more injury prone and has started. for all intents and purposes, he is what he is.

jones is younger, and has never gotten the chance at being a starter. and if he corrects his drop issues, he could really be an impact guy.

If Turner gets a shot I hope its against the Eagles.

Let him give Aso the same shot he gave Leonhard.
