Yes you nailed it. These tv people are hyping him up. If they knew so much why didn't people predict Wilson or hell why was Brady a hidden gem in the 6th. more than half the QBs drafted in the top rounds are busts. The Jets have quite a few in the last two decades to prove it.

If Rex gets his way and drafts this kid, we are screwed for another five years and Rex will prove he is a worthless HC. Good DC, but worthless HC.

I'm personally not sold on Smith, He threw more screens than any QB, if I read right, in the last 10 years.

Our playmakers are only as good as the QB that's throwing to them. With Geno watch Holmes gain a resurgence, watch Hill take the step and watch Kerley beast in the slot. With a good QB it takes pressure off the RB's without the box constantly being stacked. Geno can make players like Cumberland better. Just add a veteran like a Braylon Edwards. We would now have an NFL offense just off the strength of having Geno Smith. Worst case if he sucks then we can get rid of him and it won't hurt us salary cap wise. This is a low risk/high reward move.

We can only hope. Their will be some really good Rbs, Wrs and Tes available in the 3rd. I just wish we had more picks...

Funny cuz the screen is important and mark can't do it

    Specially now with WCO

Yeah, the WCO is a lot of screens and a lot of first read throws. It's a QB friendly offense because it builds easy check-downs into most plays and it doesn't make the QB throw a lot of passes across heavy traffic.

I think David Garrard is going to have an advantage in this training camp because he is both accurate and savvy, with a lot of experience to lean on. I think Geno Smith will pick the system up and probably be very efficient in it.

The Jets offense, which has been on shaky ground since the injury wave knocked Heimerdinger out of the job in 2005, is going to be solid again in a well proven system.

Chad made Schotty's system look better than it should have in 2006. Favre came in and super-charged things for a year. That's all the Jets have had in the way of really effective offense in the last 7 seasons. The run-heavy offenses in '09 and '10 were just not sustainable and they collapsed against good defenses on a regular basis.
