There are some concerns with Dwight due to his back but the thought of Joe Johnson being the 4th option on this team make them kind of scary. Wallace is still a good player and D Will is about as good as a PG as you'll find. They'll have no depth but I think if this happens you'll see guys looking to take the min to play here like you've seen in Miami.
I bet youll see more guys come here than the heat. Its NY, plus the Nets will have an underdog stigma where people cant help but cheer for them. Where the heat will always be the most hated team in sports, period Plus its nice when ur 2 elite players are a true pg and a center. The two most important positions, which the heat have neither

Lol From the ESPN article Soxxx mentioned: Although the Nets have made Brooks available, sources say the Magic aren't interested and he's being shopped elsewhere, including Cleveland, to find a package that suits Orlando. That makes things a bit easier I think. I wonder why Orlando isn't interested.
Dan Gilbert is so bitter about Lebron. It would not suprise me if he is doing this just to try to screw the Heat a little. But imo he should be worrying about his own team, they arent to bad, but obviously need more work.
This works if the Nets aren't forced to give up too many key role players... You can't get left with nothing since all the good veterans have already agreed to sign somewhere... Plus, It's so easy to get Dwight in foul trouble and on many nights the plan will be wrecked...:lol:
Well like I said in the Knicks thread, Camby would probably start here in the event Howard is traded here. I imagine that would be a key factor in him wanting to play here. He would be valuable. I imagine Gerald Green is gone which sucks he played well last year. Derek Fisher is interested in the Nets, with Williams here he's a fine backup. Who knows about Mirza, he's basically just a highly paid rookie. But yeah the roster would be pretty bare beyond the starting 5. But man that starting 5 would be sick.
Dwights also the best paint player in the nba, best rebounder, and with him DWill and JJ can chuck up 3s like mad. Just look how Orlando played, Dwight turned half that team into elite 3 point shooters. His only true problem is the free throws, he desperately desperately needs to work on nothing but that
Technically free agency signings cant begin until July 11. There are alot of players out there. The big names like Allen and Nash are gone but guys like Danny Green are still sitting around. I bet they can find a pretty good amount of talent. I do believe to that the Nets big 3 will be slightly better than the Heats mostly because by design, having a Center, a PG, and an elite scorer is better than what the Heat have. Hell, I think the Nets big 3 would be a nightmare matchup for the Heat. The Heat overall would be better, but the Nets wouldnt be far behind like the rest of the East.
U guys think Howard is a bigger star than Carmelo? both are very popular, but Melo, Howard, Wade, CP3 all are on the 2nd tier of popularity. Id say the top tier is Lebron, Durant, and Kobe.

It doesnt make sense for Orlando imo. They can do this trade in February and not lose out on a thing, and if Howard did change his mind to go to LA, they would get a better deal. I think Orlando drags this until the final week like the Nuggets did with Carmelo.
Yeah but now that the Nets have Dwill and JJ, theyre planning on being a contender. Which means if the Magic dont give them Dwight soon, theyre gonna go out and make other moves for their franchise. And if that happens, and the Magic can no longer trade Dwight to the only team that he said he will resign with, well then teams offers are gonna go down. I mean logically the Nets should be willing to offer more for Dwight than anyone (since he would resign with them). If theyre out of the bidding, then teams only have to bid on a one year rental for Dwight
HOU, GS, and LAL said they are fine with a one year rental and think a successful year can change Howard's mind and sway him. They knew they were getting a rental when they were trying weeks ago
