Hutchinson and Leberfeld have been wanting to squash this from the beginning. They're both blowhards and should be ignored.
If it is Favre's choice: Bucs vs. Jets, it should be a no-brainer: JETS. Better Offensive line: Jets Better Running Back: Jets (Thomas Jones is a monster!) Better Wide receivers: Jets Better Defense: Jets Reasons to pick the Bucs: -Buccanears Play the Packers -Buccanears have an easier schedule/divison/conference -Warm Weather. Thats all I got.
Well, in all fairness, you came off a lot more bitchy in that post then Brett has in the past couple weeks. Take a Zoloft and stay away from sports new for the rest of the day. It could do you some good.
I am not enthused about Favre comming here. I do not think we need him, nor do I think he will be able to just come here and be the Favre of last year with a new team right out of being retired for an entire offseason at age 38. But I would support him as a the Jets starting QB, just like I would for Chad or Kellen.
The Bucs are loaded at RB and still have a pretty stout defense. Chances of winning NFC South >>> Changes of winning AFC East. Oh and... Can we move this to the NFL forum now?
No way. With all the improvements the Jets have made, they are a completely new team. Especially if Favre adds himself to the equation. Neutral ground game right this second: We'll say Pennington vs. Garcia. Jets would beat the Bucs. I have no bias on this matter either.
Geezus you would think that the Pope was about to embark on a trip the way ESPN is plotting his every move.
I think he would be an upgrade over two guys who seem intent on losing an open battle for the QB spot. Favre gives us instant at the QB spot. Neither Chad or Kellen does that. Like you I'll support whom every is our QB but would rather have Favre then our current two headed monster.
