Favre turns down Tampa Bay and the Jets
The Orlando Sentinel reports that both the Buccaneers and Jets received permission to speak with Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre , but the Packers icon has declined invitations from both teams. They point out that "it's become clearer and clearer the Favre, 38, wants to play for the Minnesota Vikings, where he has an element of familiarity with Coach Brad Childress and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell."
Our View: Why is the Orlando Sentinel weighing in on Favre? They are hundreds of miles from an NFL team but somehow are the first to point out that Favre has turned down the possibilities of playing in New York or Tampa Bay. This is getting ridiculous.

I'll bet he costs the Vikings their 1st round pick in 2009 plus another pick somewhere. In return the Packers agree to drop the tampering charges. That's pretty much the precedent that the Jets and Pats gave the NFL with all the coaching to's and fro's.
