Give Ainge two years behind Brett and he would be a good QB.

    Bye Noodle Arm.

I don't think it's fair to judge the QB situation as being that bad when you're talking about bringing in someone of Favre's caliber. This is a rare situation of opportunity, and the Jets are exploring. I don't see this as a lack of foresight or planning.

No No they have a plan.....

Wait until preseason ends and go out and bring Vinny back.....

Here me out..... guy has a big arm and he wasn't that bad in carolina last year. The kicker is he won't hurt the cap.

I kid you not. I'm willing to give up a chance at an unknown rookie in the 2nd rd of the 2009 draft for a chance to win the superbowl this year. We are built to win now, but there's one problem, we don't have a quarterback.

Should the Jets land Farve, they become AFC contenders.

If not, Tanginibaum spent a boatload of cash in the off-season to improve to 6-10.

Did you really ask that of the guy who predicts 14-2 every single year?

I don't think that is true either. The Jets are in a position where the QB is surrounded with so much talent that they don't need to play at a ridiculous level, they just need to be heady, make smart choices, and let the talent around them carry them, the way so many other teams have done with less than stellar quarterbacks and still been successful. Our QBs may not be that great, but we don't exactly have Ryan Leaf on our team either.

Oh drop it, leave the all the joking aside.

Getting Favre on this team puts us over the hump. Do you want to win now? Or do you want to settle for mediocrity, again?

Give em a 2nd round pick for Favre, I'm all for it.

Clemens is too young to lead a team that has the type of playoff talent the Jets have. Chad, obviously, doesn't have the arm. If the brain trust doesn't land Farve, the offense will be pedestrian.

Wait a minute, has anyone mentioned The Madden Curse? If we take him, he'll just get injured in week 2 and be out for the season.

Packers are asking for a first, but that doesn't mean that's what they're going to get in a deal. Same with Parcells before the draft. He asked for a first rounder for Taylor and did not get it.

Chad and a second rounder might get it done.
