By the way, Favre probably has the ability to veto any trade, so the fact that he's willing to talk to the Jets is a good sign.

Chris Mortensen, of ESPN, reports Green Bay Packers retired QB Brett Favre does not appear to have any interest in playing for the New York Jets.

 

actually it was more then an hour ago. But cant blame you for not wanting to sort through this mess...

 

Actually I think it's been posted about 9 times, but this thread will continue to go on until he either gets traded to another team or retires.

I wonder if our Brett Farve thread is bigger than the Bucs thread? Let me check...................holy wow. They're up to 520 and have Dan Patrick reporting Farve to be a Buc in the next 48-72 hours 2 days ago. Ha ha Brett has everyone doing backflips.

Are we so lost that we're actually pinning our hopes on this ? I guess a drowning man will clutch at almost anything he thinks will keep him afloat, if even for a short time.

I don't see that at ESPN.com, I'd like to see someone post a link to espn.com where Mortensen says that.

 

I haven't seen that on ESPN either, I bet it's made up

 

I said I didnt want to get my hopes up but its too late.

 

He probably said it on Sportscenter or NFL Live, yesterday on NFL Live Mort reported that Favre didn't want to play for an AFC team but I didn't see it linked anywhere. The link they have is reported on KFFL.

I read on a jets blog that news about favre from Mortensen is likely directly from Favre to Mort.

 

Mort is the one who reported on espn.com that the Jets were allowed to talk to Favre. You would think they would mention he didn't wnat to play for us somewhere in the article.

 

Why would he rather play for Tampa, then us? We're a better team then the Schmucks,i mean Bucs!
