I think there is almost zero percent chance it happens, but if it ever does happen, I would take it as a clear sign that we are at least considering becoming a pass-first team. (Something I'm not sure Sanchez is ready for)

Braylon and Plax are excellent run blockers and Holmes is underrated in that aspect. If they're all on the field at the same time we could run some successful draws/end arounds.

I really think someone's gonna bite on him before it gets in our range. Tampa, Oakland, Arizona. Someone's going to take a chance and I have a feeling it'll work out pleasantly for them. I'll gamble and say he'll keep his nose clean. If he does, he's definitely worth it. Maybe a team could throw in some sort of protection clause on behavior?

I don't know, I could see it happening. Why else would they want to put Cotchery on the trading block? Maybe a possible run at getting Umenyiora?

Maybe they're waiting to see if no one really wants Edwards and his trouble. I'm sure it'd only be a one year deal. Would give Plaxico a chance to re-familiarize himself with the league. We'd have a pretty stellar receiving corps. I don't know, I'm just trying to figure out why else they would trade Cotchery away. What's going in that head of yours Tanny?

They've been talking about Kerley quite a bit, but it seems like he's more of a Brad Smith replacement prospect.

Kerley actually played WR in college so he's already got a step up on where B Smith was his rookie year.

As for Braylon...wait and see. Signed FAs can't practice until Thursday so there's still time for some team to bite and take a chance on a deal for more than we can offer. As time passes I think there's more of a chance of him coming back.

Totally agree. I'm just saying that with those three weapons at our disposal . . . wow. I can't even imagine it. If Sanchez ever matured the way he is capable of maturing this year, we would potentially have a lethal passing game and it would almost force us to throw considerably more.

He can always buy it back from Plaxico. I think Plax still owes Jeff Feagles for that outdoor kitchen.

I really wanted us to keep Braylon but at this point I say we've made our bed. The only way Braylon could still be a jet would be to cut J-Co, and I for one would be pissed off to have Plax on the roster over a guy who's given all he has for this team for the past 7 years.

At this point its ridiculous that they haven't tendered him an offer. I want Braylon back, and he wants, or at least wanted, to be here. With Cotch on the pup list and not knowing what we will get from him it makes all the sense in the world to bring back Edwards. He's got good chemistry with Sanchez, and gives us the vertical threat we lack right now.

Since he hasn't been highly sought after, I'm sure the Jets can sign him to a reasonable deal, even if its a 1 yr deal. He will only make the offense. better. Plus nobody knows what Plax will have. It'll be a sin if he ends up elsewhere.

His name keeps coming up with bad press, whether he is directly involved with an incident or it's someone in his entourage matters very little at this point. I loved Braylon while he was here but it seems like he's trying too hard to be an unnecessary distraction.

His skills would be great for a developing QB. His off-the field issues would be terrible.

The fact that Braylon hasnt sign yet, is a sign that he and the jets are still talking. The Cotchery rumor came out of nowhere y else would we let Cotchery go if it not where to bringing a better replacement. Does anybody really think Plax is gonna start, Rex wants to give Sanchez as many weapons as possible. Trade Cotchery for a 4th and resign Braylon.

While I can see your point about his off field issues, this year that argument is moot. Theres no way that you can say those things about Braylon without making the case that what Plax did is any less troublesome or detrimental. IMO what Plax did was worse. He just finished 2 yr bid in PRISON.

Yeah Braylon has had his problems, but considering who else we have I don't see behavior as a point of contention.

Nobody knows what we get in Plax, but we know Braylon can play right now, knows the system, and has chemistry with Sanchez.

And he still wants 5 mil a year for 5 years. The Jets won't do it. Revisit it in 2 weeks, I'm sure he will still be there.

I'd hope we would throw an offer on the table and at least see if he bites? We all know he wants to be a Jet,I mean why else would he tweet that he wants to come back but the feeling isn't mutual?
Given his recent troubles and the lack of interest before these new allegations maybe he signs a 1 year deal for a discount?
