It would serve the Jets right if Braylon did sign with NE or MIA. The guy showed us the love and the loyalty and we're gonna show him the door??? HTF does that work????

    It's a business.
He's a little baby if he signs somewhere just to spite the Jets.

It was a business decision. It was widely considered very unlikely that we would be able to afford BOTH Braylon and Santonio. I think the common thinking was that we would be able to keep two of our big three FAs.

to clarify again, EDWARDS is not being signed due to money issues, not because of his off field activity.

This a disgrace. Edwards has been on this team for two years, has made just as many big plays as Holmes (bombs in the playoffs, catch vs Houston, catch vs Indianapolis etc.) He is all-around better then Holmes, he actually blocks and doesn't make bonehead plays. He never drops the ball anymore like Holmes did in the endzone vs the Dolphins. This is a fucking disgrace and it sickens me to be a Jet fan right now.

It truly is disgusting that we have not even attempted to negotiate a deal with him. Our offense would be exactly the same as last year with the exception of Woody, and in year 3, Sanchez seems poised to take that next step. But wait. In classic Jets fashion, when we are this close to a super bowl, lets continue to let key pieces walk away because we dedicated 4 days to Asomugha. It is embarrassing how we have treated our own guys this offseason, and the word will quickly spread around the league. For those of you that want to deny losing Braylon would be a big blow, you are kidding yourselves. This team will not, I repeat, will not make it back to the afccg without another legit option alongside Holmes and Moss, Plax, Floyd are not the answer. If Holmes could be had for 3mill for yr 1, then it is COMPLETE BULLSHIT from the front office that we do not have enough to sign him. I have sickened by this.

Even Minnesota moved off of Braylon because of his asking price, and people are actually blaming the Jets for not re-signing him?

Either he brings his price down and the Jets re-sign him for what he's worth, or they move on and save themselves from overpaying. Christ, what happened to this place?

For what it's worth, I don't see that tweet on his Twitter anymore. Maybe that's a good sign.

How would the Jets determine that they cannot afford him if they didn't try to negotiate with him?

The Vikes are backing out of the deal so the Redskins might be his best chance for a big deal. If he can't find the contract he wants then hopefully he and the Jets could find a number they can each agree upon.

Remember when everyone thought that the bitch Aso was 80% coming here?

This shit is going to prolong till the last second. It's Negotiating 101 - both Braylon and Cro know that the Jets are desperate for at least one more splash and have our FO by the balls.

And furthermore, can some one tell me why in the FUCK we're all getting up in arms over ONE tweet? I swear to god, Twitter is going to be the death of civilization.

  16. The Skins have made moves on a bunch of WRs. I would have to think they are out.

It may be a marriage by necessity now. Where else can BE turn? His market has dried up entirely, which, I think, the Jets expected. My sense is Tanny knew BE wanted big money, and he read the market right that BE wasn't going to get it.

Now, if BE wants to be upset with the Jets, fine. But a whole bunch of other teams are shunning him now, so...

  17. Cro, yes. How does Braylon have the Jets by the balls? There are still several affordable #2 WR options out there, and Braylon's market has dried up.

The Jets shouldn't even negotiate with Edwards or Cromarties agent. Just tell them when they are ready to sign, bring us their best deal.

If we can confirm it and beat the deal we will. No more time to waste chatting with them.

In the mean time we need to be doing something. I don't see anything we are doing to improve this team. The Jets have taken a step backwards from last season.

On NFL Network Jason La Confora said that Edwards is not finding top WR money on the open market. Maybe his value will come back to where the Jets are willing to spend.

The only place that seemed to have interest in him was Minn and they signed Floyd.

EDIT - I thought I read earlier that Floyd was signed, but I think I misread that. I think he is still on the market....but the Vikes did sign Jenkins.

Please please please bring Braylon back! Hopefully it can be done in an affordable way. I am encouraged that maybe his asking price was too high and it may drop....Lets hope that will be the case.
