We do not need Marshall.I would really be upset with the organization if we got rid of Cotchery!Anyone read that article on ganggreennation why Edwards is the right man for the job and not Marshall?

Change his location and I guarantee you that Marshall will change his attitude. He didn't have these problems until Williams' death. He's putting himself through a lot of mental stress which could easily be taken care of if he leaves.

Watch as he goes to New England to replace Moss.

That being said, fuck this(speculated) trade.

Honestly every time someone posts a thread about acquiring player x and someone responds saying "this trade will NEVER HAPPEN you idiot!!!" I think to myself do you NOT KNOW who our GM is? If we got Brett fuckin Favre the alleged pipedream trade, we can get ANYBODY outside of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

He wanted out cause the team was poised to suck but proved otherwise, to which he shut up and played. Also, consider what he was going through with the whole trial in Denver as well

don't get me wrong...I heart Tanny...and what he's done for this organization...he's 30x the GM that Terry Bradway was.

But i'm starting to get that same feeling.....no trade is above Tanny....he'll find a way to make things happen no matter what. Which is sometimes...detrimental.

Oh yeah why was he suspended at the end of the season? Why was he suspended for the Broncos most important game of the season if he was such a solid citizen and "shut up and played"?

Boo fucking hoo he was around Williams the night he was killed. I go through much worse with the woman sleeping next to me, she might not wake up the next day. Do I act like a pouty bitch at my job? You need me to answer that?

Back to the original source, the only talk seems to be between members of the Jets' front office, not with the Broncos. I'm guessing the ultimate determination was "no".

Given Tanny's past history with trades and such....i'll take a wait n' see approach before giving this rumor the "Boom. HEADSHOT!"

usually where there's smoke...there's fire. We found that out when Rhodes was cut.

until marshall gets signed by another team or gets a contract from the broncos i wouldn't rule out tanny making a move. i am hoping they don't pull the trigger on this one but that opinion is subject to change depending on what the package of players is.

    I think I FYP.

Anyway, Tannenbaum does tend to have that "leave no stone unturned" mentality, like when he actually gave in an interview to Jeff Jagodzinski. Where there is smoke, there tends to be firefighters.

If it came down to the Jets having to sign Marshall to the offer sheet then flipping Braylon for a pick or two, they'd have to consider it. I don't know what kind of market there'd be for him, but he would be the last big name out there. It's a little bit of out there thinking, but I would consider Marshall and a 3rd for Braylon and our late 1st to be about fair value.

Of course, that would mean that it cost the team Stuckey, Trusnik, and a 5th for a few month rental, so I guarantee that wouldn't sit well with the fans here.

So youre suggesting that fair value for Braylon is a 3rd round pick ?

This is what I'd try to do..

First of all, it's not LAW that Denver has to get a 1st round pick. Secondly, I think if we are trying to get Marshall, it means the end of Cotchery being a Jet. So here is what I'd offer.

    Jets get Brandon Marshall

Broncos get Jerricho Cotchery, 2010 3rd round draft pick, & conditional 2011 4th round pick.
The conditional pick could be a 2nd rounder depending on playing time.

I'm sure there are people here who would love to have Cotchery NOT be a part of this deal, but, I really feel it's required.

Too much. (plus im not really sure how wed give them 2 draft picks we dont and probably wont have)

Cotch and a 2011 4th rounder is the best we should do. Obviously the market for Marshall aint that big or else we wouldnt even be this considering him since teams SHOULD be swarming over a guy of his talent. But his history is so effed up that nobody wants to take that risk.

I keep forgetting that we don't have a 3rd round pick this year!

Cotchery and a 4th rounder won't cut it. If we want him, I think we will need to give up more than that.

    Cotchery, 2010 4th, and conditional 2011 4th?

That 2011 pick cant move up to a 3rd/2nd because of the cromartie trade.

Cotchery is worth @ minimum a 2nd rounder more realistically a high 2nd rounder.

Nobody has bitten @ Marshall for a 1st and theres only 1 team showing legitimate interest. That means Marshalls value is < a 1st round pick.

I love Cotchery but lets be serious and honest. Cotchery is not worth a 2nd round pick let alone a high 2nd. The guy has had 1 1,000 yard season. He has awesome hands, makes tough catches in traffic, awesome on the sidelines, a good route runner, good after the catch and is smart. He gets no separation, is not a TD or red zone threat at all, cannot win a jump ball, has a poor release off the LOS, lacks explosion, is not a deep threat, and has a poor size to speed ratio. Hes a good #2 WR who is worthy of being a top 30 WR in the NFL. If Anquan Boldin got nabbed for a 3rd and a 4th while giving up a 5th, Cotchery isn't even worth a 3rd.
