most of that article is garbage. the author's predictions are based on other people's speculations.

and did anyone else see this nugget?---->"The Rams need a quarterback, and Bradford is the best one in this draft. Taking Ndamukong Suh or Gerald McCoy would be a safer choice for the Rams, because both defensive tackles are considered can’t-miss. But after passing on Matt Ryan(notes), Matthew Stafford(notes) and Mark Sanchez(notes) in recent drafts..."
how could the rams have passed up on stafford when he went 1st overall to detroit?

Don't want Marshall. Cotchery has earned his spot and getting Marshall would just push him down the charts into unhappy territory.

I'd rather see us trade our late 1 for a later 1 or very early 2 and get Terrance "Mount" Cody and see him split time with Jenkins next year. I'm in the minority on that one, but I think it's the best solution for us.

i competely agree with you while id love to have marshall aswell and the idea sounds great on paper we just dont know how it will tuern out in the locker room... he is a beast, true, but we cannot afford to keep him braylon and cotch and we cannot let cotch go... anyone who swatches jets football knows this guys been thru with all crap with this team and never complains just does his job.. in my oppinion id rather have marshall and cotch but seeing how the jets gave up so much for edwards they prolly wont do it.. id love to see all three on the feild but we dont need 4 good recievers (keller) on a ground game team... we got money and htis is an uncapped year hopefully like tanny, im thinking long term success not 1-2 years... unless you can find a way to get rid of edwards in some trade for marshall i hope it doesnt happen or else your putting the real assets of the team.. the defense in jepordy (future contracts wise)

If we get a 2nd rounder for Leon the only thing you can be sure of is that were drafting another RB

I don't get why all of these NFL people on all these big sites keep saying how we "need a WR, so let's get Bryant, Marshall, Boldin, Tate, blah blah blah"

Do they forget we traded for a young, Pro Bowl caliber WR less then a year ago?

Sure, we need a 3rd WR..but we are a run first team already with Edwards, Cotchery, Keller, LT, and Leon.

A WR is simply not a 1st round need for us...stop listening to these "experts" opinions.

To do this, we lose either Cotchery or Edwards.

Cotchery is a prototypical #2 WR. He is a great compliment to any deep threat. We also do not run the type of offense that would necessitate two #1 WRs like Edwards and Marshall. An offense like that would mean a lot of downfield passing similar to the Cardinals but that would be a very huge leap for Sanchez to make in his development, especially when the biggest concern with Sanchez is him learning how and when to check down instead of throwing the deep ball. Edwards and Marshall can both go over the middle but there is no reason to use both of them for that when we already have Cotchery to fill that role, something he does very well.

It's too soon to give up on Edwards vs. the price we paid for him. To make this trade happen, the Jets would have given up a 3rd round pick, a 5th round pick, a slot WR, a depth LB, and a #1 WR who was abandoned too early in order to get an upgrade #1 WR. I know I said the Jets could benefit by drafting a WR in the first(BPA depending) but giving up on Edwards now would be a HUGE mistake.

If Tate, Thomas or Bryant turn out to be BPA in the first round, the Jets should draft one of those three. Drafting solely by need is a great way to pick the wrong guy.

    +1

These are the points that all of the Marshall supporters fail to realize.

I know this is the NFL and you trade players for picks, but perhaps there is some way we could trade Braylon for picks and then pick up Marshall. Marshall is a beast. Cotch has been our most reliable receiver for years I don't want him going anywhere.

This isn't the season to give up on Edwards. We're not going to get the value back on the picks we sent to Cleveland as it is, let alone the additional players. Give him another shot with a full offseason to work with Sanchez and get to know the playbook. If he can handle his concentration problems then he is a pro bowler next season.

Without Kerry Rhodes, we need someone able to strike a pose and model on the side.

Yahoo suggests? When did people start treating yahoo like it's a magic 8-ball. Yahoo blows. They never report anything that you don't already know.

Not that this is going to ever happen (please), but I can't imagine what a locker room would be like with 100% Braylon and Marshall, think I'd need a peg near the door

If we were to trade for Marshall it would be nothing but a luxury move. He's called baby TO for a reason. Man's got issues.

I like what we've got with Edwards and Cotch who compliment each other well. Edwards is the flashy deep threat and Cotch is ol' reliable.
