The problem I have going all in on that is that on Sunday the change was evident right from the start, running (pass) plays that had been set up four or five days in advance, not when LaFleur got in the booth. Opening plays were again passes last night.

I don't disagree that arguments can be made the other way. I, personally, believe the result is the change to the booth. Lafleur has always said he was most comfortable up there. I also spent some time reading up on previous coordinators opinions on it in the past and while some like the sideline, a large amount believe that the booth gives you great visibility of the field and a quiet focused environment to call your game plan.

Lafleur has never been the type of guy that is a players coach like Saleh. He seems to thrive when he's got his head down focused on the playcalling. There's nothing wrong with that from a coordinator, but I think it was becoming too much for him managing the sideline as well as call the game.

Again, time will tell and let's see what Zach does in the coming weeks.

No rush - I'm still interested in seeing what White and Johnson have in them before Wilson returns. If LaFleur believed his location would be a significant factor he should have insisted on working from upstairs; he is the coach after all and has a bunch of other coaches working for him who should be able to handle the sidelines.

Oh I agree on both points. I think you should play the hot hand, and that's White right now.

I also think Lafleur is a moron for not moving up there earlier. I can attribute that to being new and wanting to help support his rookie QB, but I also think it was dumb if he was that much more comfortable in the booth.

Either way, we are where we are. Gotta look forward and see if we can continue producing on offense. So far so good, no matter the reason

We've got real evidence the system works now.

It's up to ZW to prove he can play in it.
