In hindsight, I'd love to be able to look back and say " man, Marino could have been the best Jet QB ever, if only they had put an offensive line in front of him. It was a sad day when he got his knee turned inside out against Miami in that '88 game and that O'Brien dude shredded us for like 500 yards."
I certainly agree with you. The Jets have been lacking in all three of those categories (scouting, GM, coaching) for what seems like forever. MacCagnan MIGHT be a decent GM. He's made some brilliant moves, and some head scratchers as well. Scouting? Coaching? time will tell.
With Don Shula coaching him Ken O'Brien might have gotten a ring in Miami unlike everyone's golden boy Marino.
